btt...anyone? im sending out the money order for my head unit tomorrow, a so i should have the hu by next week, then i need to find someone that can put it in for me.

im gonna call stereo shops tomorrow and see who can do it for the cheapest, but they rape you for something that i know i can find someone here to do in 15 mins.

so any socal locals know how to install a head unit? i need to do that, and just run an rca cable from my head unit to the trunk (where the subwoofers already there and hooked up, just need the rca run, which is a cinch)

There's a good how-to floating around somewhere, but here's another one:

Buy:
Wiring harness for 95+ Mitsubishi
Wire crimps

Do:
Uninstall old H/U
Plug in wiring harness to factory plug
Match colors from harness to new H/U, using crimps to fasten wires together

Simple as that.

Yeah, you'll need the harness to save yourself from splicing around the stock wires. I can't remember the exact year, but all Mitsu harnesses are the same, and 95 sticks out for some reason. Just tell the shop you need one for your Lancer.

Crutchfield.com is a good place to find out what harness you need, or a good autosound install shop.
