Damn...a Hallman MBC and an Alan-Tune---that ****'s gotta be fast !!!!!!!!!! Hahaha

 

LOL! With the MBC (boost increased to 22psi) and Alain's tune the car is actually making a little less peak power than it had without the MBC and the previous tune. The previous tune made more power, but had significant knock issues and other tuning issues such as no boost limit control. Alain got rid of all the knocks, and added some safety nets. The increased boost pretty much had no affect because everything else is stock and doesn't breathe well.

I am hoping to buy Alain's AMS 3" down-pipe, AMS 3" test-pipe, and AMS 3" exhaust. With those parts installed, and additional tuning, it will make some really good gains.

 

Alain: When you get a chance, can you please post the baseline vs. final tune graph? Thanks!

Yeah the tune on the car had about 8 knock counts up high, no set boost cut (yes, boost cut does work with an MBC), and modified low octane maps (the map the car switches to when knock is present)...i cleaned up the map a bit to make everything linear...

Justin you never saw the final log did ya, sorry about that!!! While the gains weren't night and day the car did increase in peak output and the boost @ 22lbs pushed your peak torque from 4400rpms to 3900rpms as you can see in the plot below...sorry for not showing you that one it was getting kinda late

Here is the Baseline (dull colors) from Andrea's initial tune along with my Road tune (Brighter colors)...this car only has an MBC set @ 22 lbs.....all else is stock...

 

I apologize for it taking so long Alain. Always seems as if there is some sort of issue when it comes to mod'n our cars. I am glad we got it all straightened out though!
