I actually got to meet the investor in James' shop. Awsome guy. I'll definately be at the grand opening Sat. the 16th. So if yall need some tire's/rims of anykind, i can order anything, and plus, you know I love you guys, so ill get it to yall at my cost, or very close.
And Alan, was it you that asked my about tires the other night? If so the 255/45s for regular driving will be about 300-350ish installed. hit me up on the cell. 858-213-7695.

Great job last night Alain! I know it has got to feel good to get back out there...all nervous and all!

I don't think I can run much quicker in Andrea's Evo. I might be able to drop the 60' by a few tenths and shift quicker. I might get lucky and run a 7.7x, but I don't think I can run that time consistently at this point. We need some more power, and it will likely come from exhaust cam gear tuning (crossing fingers) and the cut-out. I could get out there and run on race gas, but that is sorta cheating.

I'd love to get out and run the 1/4. A 7.8x in the 1/8 should be good for low 12s. That would be cool on a stock turbo and 91 octane.

I don't have to ask her--she already wants it!

what are you guys running for alignment? also, have you checked your thrust angles? im not much of a drag racer myself so i don't have much personal experience W the effects of alignment on drag racing but i have heard from a few people that simply zeroing out your toe & thrust angles has a pretty substantial effect both in launching & ability to get power to the ground without scrubbing as much in rolling friction.

i recently set my toe back to zero (had set it quite aggressive from track events & never set it back) as well as zeroed out my thrust angles & id say i picked up what feels like 25-30 hp at freeway speeds.

granted this is all seat of the pants & theory so who knows til you try it on the track, but if your running the stock or any kind of aggressive toe & you haven't checked thrust angle's then it may be a way to find some free power/ET......

I am currently running the stock alignment specs. I am not sure about the affects of changing tow and thrust angles, but I do know for a fact that camber is your enemy in drag racing. You pretty much want your camber at 0 so that the tires have a completely flat contact patch with the ground. For those who do a lot of autocrossing/road racing and run a lot of negative camber, while negative camber works very well for those type of events it is very bad for drag racing.
