Here is an update for those that care to know:

On Friday, May 23rd, I installed the AEM EMS with a 3.5bar MAP sensor (eliminating the MAF...leaving the AMS VSR next on the list to install with some much needed headwork ) and after a few chats with my tutor (WOT/Aby) over the phone, a good baseline map, lots of self tuning and some dyno time the results are in on 91 oct! Stay tuned for some MS 109 action

Hey Alain...now that you have an AEM EMS are you going to use your EMS (in combination with an AEM boost control solenoid) to control boost? Also, what did you end up using for your IAT sensor? Did you have a bung welded in your IC pipe? What are you initial thoughts on tuning via an AEM EMS vice something like ECUFlash?

I have a brand new JDM MAP sensor, GM boost control solenoid and GM pigtail for sale. Prices are what I paid for them less shipping and tax.

Hey man.....I would keep that GM solenoid to run with your EMS....its better than the AEM solenoid and its what David Buschur advertises on his site as a boost controller for the EMS (https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...46d40a896d40ab) & WOT uses it on his car...that should mean something

I haven't installed an AIT sensor yet....need to purchase one....

The AEM EMS vs ECUFlash....umm....no comparison! Live tuning and a more user friendly interface makes the AEM EMS an awesome EMS...its just a PITA to get it all going in the beginning but after that its a breeze...

Thanks for the advice on the GM solenoid. So, not having an AIT sensor isn't preventing you from running the EMS? Well...obviously not...but kind of weird. How much time did you spend tuning her?

Thanks man!

Haha...I know....I had to do a double take when I saw ya

I got my intake manifold used and it came with the ICS motor.....I have yet to install it....and I don't know where to get it....I believe the previous owner said it was a Mustang ICS motor...

No its not preventing it from running at all.....just makes the wideband fuel trims work a bit harder during cruising/WOT...

I spent about 3 hours tuning it before I got my numbers...

I will be shortly...the MBC is good for changes 'on the fly' for those that don't actively mess with the EMS cal files....so it all really depends on what you want to do...

I'll be making the switch in a couple weeks, as I don't really need to make any changes to the boost, once set. Alan, looking forward to some Dyno time with the GM and the Invidia. Thanks again to you and James for taking care of me, she runs great now and will be even better in a couple weeks.
