We have e85 everywhere here. Local shops have it too like Reese tuning in Santee. Check this website out too www.socalevo.net you'll get more help and info there.

Evo service

Does anybody else have any gripe against El Cajon Mitsubishi?
When I bought my car, I got 4 years free service. None of the 3 dealers in the SD area are that convenient to me, so I started where I bought the car - Poway & they seemed a little cold, so I've been going to El Cajon. Well very recently my brake started making a little noise, but they did when they were new, so I didn't pay too much attention (giving that also I had been going regularly to the dealer for "free" service where they were supposed to be checking such things). But then it became more consistent, so I checked it out.
The RHS front inside pad was down to metal!
What the #%^&% are the techs looking at when they "service" the car.
Now the RHS front outside pad (the one with the wear indicator) still had 3-4 mm before it even got to the indicator. Since it is the easier to look at, maybe that is all they were doing - but given that the Ball (National City) tech said he always sees the inner pads wear faster than the outer (BTW, what's up with that?) you might think techs would check the inner pads. I guess you get what you pay for. Grumble grumble grumble.

So I guess I'll be going to Ball for a while... or (since the freebee services are about up) where do the rest of you service your Evos?

Yes, you should be concerned with getting pulled over and potentially getting ref'd. That would be real bad. However, depending on what part of town you live in the cops aren't so bad. I have never been pulled over for my exhaust, but I also try and lookout for the cops and if I happen to see them I watch my throttle modulation. lol. You could get a silencer for your exhaust tip (if you don't have one) and that could help.

They normally won't ask to look under your hood unless you are a jackass to them or were caught street racing. Most cops are familiar with Evos, understand they come from the factory turbocharged, and don't harass the owners in the same manner that they do people with cars like a Honda.
