im not sure if this is the right place but here it goes

my insurance just sent a letter sayin i was in an accident. and that my insurance will go up. the thing is that i never been in an accident before in my life. well not with another car. its weird it says i hit another car in january 3, 2002. i didnt even have my licence then. is there anything i can do? besides go to the dmv and get a print out?

 

Try and go to the local police station and see if there was a police report filed for this "Accident". If there is, then ask for a copy and take a look @ it. If there isnt, then go to the DMV and ask for their copy of the accident report. Another median u would wanna go through is ur Insurance company, check ur claims and see if maybe there was a claim made against u. Good luck bro.

 

my pops said that someone screwed up. First you should check your DMV and see what they say. Did you even have your car then?

Obviously this isnt a hit and run cuz the police wouild be at your door due to the fact that it is a felony. This is rediculous becuase there has to be an exchange of insurance information in order for your insurnace company to have gotten this information. If you did not have your licence at this time, this is a mistake. IF the insurance is in your name with this car, you have the proof that you didnt do it cuz you didnt have your licence, this will be easily resolved.

 

You sure you just weren't drinking that night and forgot about it.. and some how went out and bought a Lancer in the same day.

 

i never drink i drive...imusually the designated driver. how ever u spell it. i had a car but it wasnt registered. and i never had insurace on it. im going to the dmv tomorrow in the moring. my grandma said that someone stole my identity. hahaaha. hopfully i can get it clearned all tomorrow.

 

well the dmv didnt help me out very much. i think it was a mistake. i had to make a few phone calls before i got any info. it turns out that the guy had the same name as me. and that he about 21 or around there, hes black, he hit a telephone poll, and he was caught with drugs. now i have to go to the police station in LA and get all this straighten out, and it is going to take a few weeks. luckly i didnt get pulled over or anything.

The police report should say where the alleged damage is on your car, and the other car or tree, or mailbox, whatever those idiots want to make up. also with the report should be pictures of the "accident." Think of this as a research paper that you are going to get an "A" on !!!

i got ahold of the officer who took the report and cleared everything up i just have to go to the police station on crenshaw blvd. i think its in watts and just show my face so they i prove im not black and they can send the paper work to sacramento.
