What a coincidence; I live right off Angeles Crest as well. I drive up frequently - keep your eyes out for a white EVO, we should meet up sometime for a drive. Peace

Hey ericomundo. Thats funny~. Your my neighbor, I live a block away from your house. You live on Briartree right? I saw your car while i was walking my dawg. By the way i have a white evo 2~!
That's awesome! Yea I do live on Briartree. Nice color choice . It must've been your car that I passed coming down the crest. Whenever you're in the mood to go up, give me a heads up. Nic eto know there's another enthusiast right nearby.

Oh and btw, to quote someone, you just click on the "quote" button above that person's post. Hope that helps.

I can't imagine running the canyons at night without the highs on, even if I'm following someone! I dunno, I'd prolly back off and use the highs

Sorry to butt in but i had to put my two cents in... Stunt is to straight in my opinion so i agree with you there. But where the *#&@ are these other roads your talking about i live down the street from stunt and i dont know where it is. Although i do have a weak car i still would like to think i am going fast on the canyons. I cant wait till i get a real car so i can come with you guys. And the roads near stunt are almost always clear, although there has been those nights i just say forget it...its to foggy but ive only done it once and ive driven the streets all this winter and summer. DRIVe on

I have an evo but I usually take my bike on latigo, it my favorite road because of how few bikes there are how hard it is.

Stunt is too "straight"?? You guys aren't going fast enough!

Duo, you live right there and you haven't come across Piuma, Latigo, Tuna, etc? Just explore a little, you can't drive more than a mile without stumbling onto a world-class backroad up there.

I find that the low beams cut off too early which can easily overcome by the high beams. The main probem I find is the arc of the lighting is too narrow. You can't see into the edge of tight corners on roads like Decker or Tuna. I definately need some auxilar lights and aim them out to the sides.

C'mon Jeff, compared to latigo or piuma stunt is like a railroad track. I mean it's not too shabby on the uphill, I kinda like long sweepers on uphill climbs, but downhill it's way too straight. I do have to say though, the "TURN" at the end (or beginning) of stunt is worth doing the whole run. I just like the flow of las flores to piuma, has a good rhythm, and that rhythm kinda gets screwed making the jaunt to stunt. I just realized something...I feel pretty comfortable with piuma and latigo now (still trying to figure out the last part of mullholland with the uphill switchbacks), but I've only done it twice during the day, all the rest has been at night. I wonder if that'll throw me off the next time I run it when it's light out. hmmm...

Yeah, its no Latigo, but Stunt is lots of fun if you take it *****-out during the day. Feels more like a racetrack and less like a tarmac rally stage, not that rally stages are any less fun. And yes - driving canyons during the day is totally different than at night, at least for me. You can just push it so much harder in daylight.

Soooooo...got those brakes fixed yet?? You down for a run tomorrow am??

Speaking of brakes. Jeff, whatever happened with your brakes at Willow? Did it end up being a warped rotor?

Yeah, it was warped, but Mitsu service said they couldn't feel it in the brake pedal so they wouldn't do anything about it, not even check the runout on the rotor. Thanks guys. It isnt bad unless I work some serious heat into the brakes, so I'll just have to wait until its bad enough where I feel it all the time.

Jeff, go take it to Josh at Huntington Beach Mitsu. I guess I didn't even need brakes afterall he said they were 70-80% left. I haven't felt any shudder in the pedal lately. Weird...Ima head case.
