Yep, another fix it ticket question

So today, I got pulled over by a CHP officer for exhaust being too loud (no mercy whatsoever even when I told him I bought the car with the exhaust on it at a dealer) and he asked if I had made any other modifications....stupidly, I said I had added an intake and he had me pop the hood. Thus, I got a ticket for the intake and exhaust being too loud with the following explanations:

27156(b)vc modified emissions
*state referee cert req*
27150(a)vc muffler-loud
Advised 24004 + 27156(d)vc

My main questions is whether or not I will have to go to a referee if I just opt to pay the fix it fine amount and if I do, am I still subject to 24004 (driving the car without sign off or whatever) if pulled over again? If the referee is a requirement and no way to get out of it, will a boost controller be an automatic fail? Has anyone effectively hid their's or does anyone know how to put that portion of the car back to stock? I'm not looking for sympathy, I'm just looking for the easiest way to go about taking care of this so I can keep driving my car to work and back. Law enforcement or real world experience is preferred cuz I'd rather not take some advice and then get my car impounded

If you have the stock intake box and exhaust switch them back and take the car to get inspected. If not it may be cheaper to buy a stock box and intake and just say the cop was crazy and being an *** even though the car was stock. I'd do it just to make the cop think he was crazy

haha! that would be fun....show up to court with the stock components. I do have the stock airbox, so that will go back on of course if I do have to go the ref, but I don't have any of the other stock components.

You completely missed the point....I am not mad about getting the ticket...nor am I denying that it is breaking the law (as stupid a law as it is)....I'm asking the easiest way to go about taking care of it and if I HAVE to go to a referee or if I can just pay the full fine....Thanks for providing the real world experience that I asked for if you bothered to read

So today I find out there are NO referee stations in the state of California. Does anyone have experience with this? Can I just pay the fine?

FREAKIN AYE I feel ur pain man my fine is due on the 15th and theres no freakin state referees because our state budget a bunch of BS!!! so theres like no place to get it corrected period i've been to police station, sheriff stations, CHP, and even talked to the court all they say is just talk to the judge, talk to the judge. biggest bs i've seen my whole life besides the cop pulling me over because my exhaust was too loud.

Guys, keep us posted on what the judge tells you with there not being any smog referees. Hopefully, you can just tell him you got your stuff fixed and he takes your word for it and only makes you pay the $10 paper work fee. I just got one last Thursday in the city of Brea on my Sentra for just a header.
