Gas is usually better, but not by much. If the car is not tuned correctly than yes it could cause problems. I have had a dynoflash for almost a year now and I have had no problems. I love my flash, but I have the custom tune. If you get a dp and hi-flow cat you would want a retune. Basically anything that messes with a/f ratios would need a tune to get the most power possible.

Okay, guys. Not so good news.

I may be selling the Evo.

To sum it up, as you know, I own a house and 2 cars. Right now 3 due to the Element. The Element will replace the Accord that is leased for 24 months and is close to being up.

We got the Element for space to take home bigger items, take my 100 pound Weimaraner to the park, get it dirty, etc. It's very useful for the price and has tons of interior space despite the small outer shell.

My house taxes went up tremendously for '05. Bought the house for 250K new in '02. The house is valued at over 550K right now and a few houses sold in my development for that price. The highest being 575K.

Since the house is valued so high, the city raised the property tax almost double which means my mortage payment is going up $150ish a month. I did not expect it to go up so high. Good thing is the value is so strong and I made a lot of money IF I SELL, but do not intend to. I like it up here in the Vistas.

Another reason for selling the car is I start school full-time in January. Taking haircutting and all that others stuff; makeup, skin, waxing, nails. Good money and don't have to be gay. 10 months and $14,000 for school and NO LOANS AVAILABLE. I hate my current job and need a change.

Between going to school, working less and making less money, higher house payment, higher electric, gas, telephone, cable, dog bills, cat bills, insurance on both cars, registration on both cars, maintenance on the Evo (expensive tires, brakes, oil, gas, mods), I cannot keep up and I do not want to lose my house.

I need to cut something out of my budget and the Evo has to be it. I love the car so much, but I baby it and afraid to park it everywhere, etc. It sits in the garage for the most part. 7500 miles and own it for 16 months.

Me and my GF will share the Element at least till I'm done with school to save money and get through this. After I'm done and working full time again, I will see if I can once again get into another car like this.

Sorry if this is long, but I need to vent it out. I still will come down to the meets and be active on these boards. I am still a huge fan of this car unlike Dan.

On another front, I know you are wondering, I will be selling SOME parts that I put on. I will list what I have and the price I want soon. I prolly will sell it with the boost controller, fuel pump and catback due to the flash. I would need to flash it back to stock and remove the fuel pump to make it bone stock but too much work.

I will sell the downpipe, high-flow cat, dress up items on the engine, 7 tails and subframe brace.

I want your guys' help on setting a price and if anyone you know wants the car. First dibs go to the local Evo guys and their friends for the parts and the car itself. You guys know there's not a scratch or ding on this car, never dragged, low miles and mild mods.

I don't need a quick sale, but would like to sell it fast to ease the pain of looking at it and knowing it's for sale

What do you think, 24ish? Too high? Please keep this thread going. Thanks.

******* sorry about all this s hit Tom. Honestly with all that money you made on equity, you could buy a house paid in full and keep the EVO. Zero house payments.

If and when you sell the car, I say you start the price at $28,000 and work your way down from there. You know there will be some low ballin kids trying to talk you down. Put it like this, if your happy with selling for $24k cool. But dont let them know that. Start at $28k. Let them think they talked you down into a good deal for them. Win for you.

Isn't the evo paid off already? Good luck.

Thanks, Alex. I thought about it. But houses are going up everywhere and I lucked out with this one. 2500 Sqft for 250 in Summerlin West. You cannot touch anything over here for under 500K. I would never afford this house if I didn't get it while housing was cheaper. i put work into it and love the floorplan and neighborhood.

Yes, the Evo is paid off, but once the Accord goes back and them the money from the Evo will pay off the Element (about 17K) and have several thousand left over for school, and hard times, you know. The equity loan paid off all our credit cards, the Evo and had a few thousand left over.

The GF cannot drive stick and it's not practial for our only car, especially with pets and going to Home Depot, etc. I thought about it, turn in the accord and keep the Evo, but she refused and we got something much cheaper we can both drive and easy maintenance, cheap insurance, reg gas, reg oil.

Once we get rid of the accord lease payment of almost 400 plus a paid off Element, then we have zero car payments, 1 low insurance bill. I need to pay school monthly, too.

No biggie. Once school is over next October, I can see where I'm working and what the outlook is, then I can get into another Evo or wait and see what's coming out. We will eventually need 2 cars again. But need to comprimise and sacrifice for the next year.

It sucks taking a loss on a new car, but that's what happens, they depreciate.

I looked at Kelley and Edmunds for how much to sell it for. Kelley says 27ish, Edmunds says 25 ish. 25 would be great considering the RS sells for 28 new and mine is 2 model years old.

7500 miles on mine which adds value. Some already have 30, 40K on their 03s.

Holy s hit 2500 sq ft! Yeah keep that, my bad. Didnt know it was so big. Houses in my community are going for close to $250k and have about 500 sq ft less. Hell my house can get $250k and its only 1398 sq ft. Well good luck anyway. You know what your doing. So when can I get a decent haircut.

Thanks for the support. Yeah, I tried every which way to budget the car in, but since it is paid off, that's the only asset I have besides the house to raise revenue.

$150 extra a month for the house payment is not good. I am not making anymore money. This sucks and the city should not be allowed to raise taxes so much at one time. If these taxes continue to rise over the next year, I may be forced to sell it if i cannot make more money. But hopefully I can.

The cool thing is with all the extra equity in the house, when I'm ready to get a new car, I can refinance the house and get a nice kickback to buy a new ride.

I'm kinda pissed the MR came out. It just about killed our value since this MR is the real deal Evo now. I thought the '03s would hold their value better, but the RS and MR made it worse. Look at the dyno charts for the MR. They are dynoing way more than the extra 5 HP. Dynoflash is getting 300 WHP with just a flash and MBC, stock exhaust and intake.
