But I don't say this because I have anything against Evos, thats why I post here - because I like the cars and want to learn more about them, (I'm still torn between getting one for a daily driver or a full size truck).

Dude the argument is pointless. I can get a foxbody mustang for dirt cheap and make it faster than an evo. You can get anything cheaper than x and make y faster.
I know you have nothing agaisnt evo's, but the cheaper argument has been beat to death on other boards I post on. It gets old really quick.
Be a man and get an EVO already. **** a truck unless the b itch is gonna be used for hauling more than an occasion. Too many people in this city have trucks and use to status symbols and nothing else. Waste of gas.
UPDATE: the pinion gear seems to be the problem.looking more into it.it's gonna cost a penny or 2.( penny= 1,000
) maybe not.we'll see. yo rowdy.i'm looking for a 240sx,and dennis said you knew someone who has one for sell.pm me up

I think Rowdy still refuses to believe it was bad oil and it was abuse and predicts more TCs going out and wants to say "I told you so" when they break.
Thanks, Alex. Yeah I'm pretty mellow and I can express my feeling better on the keyboard rather than arguing face to face.
Give us updates on this whole thing, John. I'm gonna keep quiet and let you give us the scoop.

Bad oil - from the factory? Low mileage factory oil was re-used in the TC.
And yes, I do predict more TC's going out. Johns ring and pin clearances were out of factory spec (verified through Marissa), the car doesn't have a lot of miles on it which is an indication of a factory defect.
I did tell you so, John was one of the unlucky few to have one of these out-of-spec TC's, Thats all.
Simply put, I am right.

is to blame.they won't touch the car 'cause of all my mods. after more research tonight, and seeing more people have this problem, and talking to dennis,i've come to the think that i had a bad tc from the factory.it was just bad timing to have it happen after the new clutch was installed.were working it out.

is to blame about the whole thing and NOT the shop.

, u motherf*ckers are funny. thats all i can say. gotta love a good fight...as long as we remain cool in the long run. first, john very sorry for your TC's problems. hopefully u can find a way of getting it fixed without having to drop a sh*t load of money.
second, john if u do need a new transfer case, are u considering trying to get an 05' one. since it comes with a LSD in it. wasnt there a post on this forum talking about how the fact that the front diff is "open" and not a "limited slip" like other evo model prior to the 8. may cause driveline issue because the power isnt split evenly between the front wheels. and may causes the 03' evo unneccassary wear on the clutch. i know it read that on this board somewhere.
thats just mine .2 cents
sh*t when or if i every get my car fix or at least can keep it. i hope i dont run into the same issues wit my car. if i do i will have to destory
. i've had enough issue wit this car. love it to death but DAMN.

Thanks stop by anytime if we're there, The GSX is going to be down for awhile... working on upgrading the clutch.. and Jose is just going to take his time since we have other cars, 03' Evo 8, 05' Sti, 98' GSX, Decked out Wide body Del Sol w/ IS300 Front and S2000 Rear Conversion and a 750 Suzuki GSXR... We are trying to look into a 240SX..
I just got a hold of TOny from ROad Race and in the process of getting schedule an appointment for my install.. I may get it done the same weekend the JGTC rolls to town.. whose going down there by any chance?

Yes, you'll see me in action if anybody talks so much smack/s hit about the people I care about.

Where do you people come off on an Evo site? You are only here for one reason, to drum up business for the LDL shop, not that you are so fond of these cars. Rowdy was the first one to talk smack about Trevor who gets lots of DSM business and has put in at least 8 Evo clutches and a turbo without any problems.
You sound very immature if you think we, I was talking smack personally against Dennis or your husband. The arguement was about the service John got or lack thereof until what 2 days ago? I have nothing against "the people you care about" on a personal level. This was about their profession and business.
Don't be so sure
is to blame when there is no TSB or recall on the TC and it's not a widespread problem. John after all drag raced this car and did many passes and has hella mods that take the power above factory specs. Of course they will not cover the cost.I don't know if the TC being out of spec was there from day 1 or it developed over time. Mine was fine and I had more miles and so do many others locally.
The bad oil issue was not my conclusion solely, it was a conclusion from other people and John did research very early on and that was the consensus from a few others. I was just the loudest voice on this issue.
I think you are way out of line coming on this forum with no posts and don't even introduce who you are and start quoting and talking s hit. You sound very young and immature. Rowdy should have handled it for the both of you if you felt like participating on this.
You guys want to talk about me jumping to conclusions, look at your earlier posts where you say, "THIS WHOLE MESS IS JOHN'S FAULT". Talk about jumping to conclusions and covering one's butt.
I'm out. Grow the F up.

Same old s hit different forum. Apology accepted.
Don't get mad coz John went to LDL and not the shop you prefer him to go.
