I know the facts about this and the blame falls solely on Dennis and his shop. John paid for a service and something goes wrong and YOU blame the customer with some BS about he paid for labor and not parts. Well, hold on. John would have gladly brought down the correct fluid if he was called.
You know what, this does not concern me. I'm just looking out for another fellow Evo buddy and don't want to see him screwed. All I know, his car as of tonite is still messed up.
End of ***in story.

Who are you and where do you come off with ZERO posts?
Listen to Corey, John IS DISPLEASED.
I cannot PROVE or John cannot prove LDL CAUSED the TC to break BUT it is very suspect since they worked on it just prior to it going out. Coincidental? Maybe, but chances are it was due to INCORRECT fluid going in and you guessed it, burned it up after a few hundred miles.
Incorrect fluid in the TC and it lasting a few hundred miles or less is CONSISTENT with bad fluid. If it was due to abuse from drag racing, it would have blown right at the track right when it happoened. There is no DELAYED REACTION BREAKAGE with this UNLESS it was incorrect fluids.
Thus I predict and assume LDL IS RESPONSIBLE DIRECTLY AND OWES JOHN A NEW 2000 DOLLAR TC.

Kinda wierd when John left for LA and along the way on the freeway, the TC started to make noise. Sounds like the oil broke down, heated up the bearings and they went bad and are now noisy. The car is driveable, so that means the TC did not grenade and blow apart internally which happens after abuse from drag racing or putting too much shock to the drivetrain from a very strong aftermarket clutch and dropping it at a high RPM which John did not do to my understanging after the install.
Fact is John had a stock clutch before LDL worked on it and the stock clutch is designed to break first before any other driveline parts. Thus further bolstering my theory.

He said/she said is fine for high school, its like there is nothing else to talk about in here. Let the boys handle their business if this is such a huge ****ing issue (John and Dennis).
In closing:
I haven't seen John post anything about it, so perhaps he wants it that way.
For everyone else that has nothing to do with what happened, get a life and mind your own business.
John just moved and I don't think has been on these boards lately, because he usually posts on just about every forum.
You're right Derek. Just not worth fighting over. I'm sure it will be resolved for both of them.
Sorry to your wife but I did not know.

You should have voluntered to fix John's car since you know so much about Evo's.

I wonder where the car is right now since you claim John is so DISPLEASED?
I'm done discussing this with you.
All you people are wasting my time reading about this stupid $hit.
Just to let you all know John will not say anything on here about LDL he's not that way. How John feels about what happened is another story that only some of us really know about. I know if it happened to me I would be pissed and want them to fix it. Everyone makes mistakes it just takes a good person (shop) to deal with the mistake. I think it all depends on how LDL handles this for anyone to judge them.

If it was the INCORRECT FLUID that was put in the TC, this whole mess is John's fault. He is the one who provided the fluid.

You are right, I do not know Dennis. All I know, John STILL has a broke down car and it's what, a month later.
"this whole mess is John's fault" WOW WOW WOW WOW. I cannot believe you wrote that. Blame the customer. He paid 500 bones for a job from a pro and he is being blamed for their mess up. WOW.
Please, don't open a business up. You do not know one thing about customer service with that attitude. My God. That's what insurance is for. He messed up, put a claim in and get a new 2000 dollar TC for John.
