i like my black personally, actually my car came from cali, and it was shipped to hawaii, so i got an 05 before anyone else in hawaii. i wanted to take a trip to pick up my car in L.A., and drive to vegas and back, but then i would have had to pay california tax (8% ouch!), so instead i got it shipped (no tax - YEAH), and took a trip a few months later to vegas-, wish i could go back already.....

so,the car is back, and i'm loving it,even as i'm just breaking in the new tc.this tc should not go out.i had tre upgrade the gears with forged steel, and it has an LSD in the front now.
We ran out of some of the small parts and ended up just replacing your transfer case's complete tail end section with a new unit.
Just use the correct oil in the transfer case, Diaqueen LSD Gear Oil part# 3775610, change it often and you won't have any problems.

Ok, I have kept quiet long enough and I can't stand it anymore......
Rowdy, I have never personally met you but the impression that I get after reading your posts on this forum is you are nothing but an Evo basher. You'll state that you like our cars but I swear the second after you state that you find something about it to bag on.
I am (as are the rest of the Evo owners on here) aware that there are TC and clutch issues with the Evo (though I own 2 and neither of them has any problems). You constantly bring up your Hondas ( "Both of my last Hondas have went faster than any Evo in Vegas and I can prove it with timeslips" ) when we are not here to talk about Hondas.....that's what the forum topic "Other Cars" is for. Don't get me wrong, I'm not speaking down on Hondas. I previously owned 5 of them and that's all I would buy before the Evo came to the states. All I'm saying is if you're truly interested in the Evo, then great.....get on here and talk about it, but please don't make me feel like I'm being attacked because that's how I feel when you post most of the time.
Regarding LDL and John.....I've only met John a couple of times at the Thurs night meets so obviously I don't know him that well. I had never heard of LDL until Rowdy came on here and mentioned them. All I know about the whole TC situation is what I've read on here. Rowdy is saying that everyone except John should not make any comments on the situation because it doesn't involve them. Well, I feel the same way about Rowdy. He also has nothing to do with the situation. Yes, he is friends or family or something with the people that own/run LDL, but it still does not directly involve him. It's between John and them. Rowdy gets upset that John's "Evo buddies" are defending him. Well, Rowdy is doing the same for LDL...how is that any different???? Yes, I've been reading here about the TC issue and may only be exposed to one side of the issue for the most part. Now, I read that Rowdy says, "After all of the S_H_I_T talking that went on here in this forum, LDL doesn't want any of the LV EVO owners business. Too bad for you guys, now you have to go to the bottom feeders for work. Well, if this is true, shame on LDL for not wanting ANY Vegas Evo owner's business! This just shows how unprofessional they are...again if this is truly the case. Why should I be stereotyped by the shop because I own an Evo and live in Vegas?
Anyway, that's my 0.02.......
John, glad you have your car back.

We got to his house, pulled into the driveway, and when we went out, we could see smoke coming from the hood, we popped the hood, where it was smoking really bad, and you could smelling something burning, like 45 seconds after opening the hood, we were searching around with our heads really close to the engine, when we saw flames deep down in the engine bay by the transmisson. We slammed the hood, and started running around like a bunch of little girls, after like a min and a half, we found a hose and put it out.
Later on, we crawled underneath the car with flashlights, and we found a burned up shop rag by my exhaust manifold, which is close to the transmisson. We pulled it out and bagged it up then had the car towed to the dealer. Went to the dealer on saturday, they put it on a lift, and pulled more of the rag out, and said that was probably what burned, and said everything else was fine after looking at it for 2 minutes, and sent me off. Before I left, I had the manager sign a service report saying that they found a shop rag underneath the car by the transmisson, which they had just worked on putting my clutch in earlier, and fixing something that was wrong with it.
Drove the car home parked it in the garage, next day, started up the car to move it out of the garage so I could clean the garage, got the same smell like something was burning, and it was not the clutch smell, shut the car off and havent touched it since. So now basically I have a car in the garage that Im scared to drive for the time being, and a dealership saying nothing was damaged and nothing is wrong.
So I think tomorrow morning, Im going to drive the car into the dealer scared ****less, and just leave it there with them, and tell them to buy the car back since they caused the fire.

Told you dan. Alot of people here in this city do not take pride in their work. Their too busy worring about the next time they can get a chance to f ucking gamble their money away.
I still got beef with the service techs who are supposed to fix my s hit at the house. If they dont see a car they automatically assume that I'm not home and dont even try to call and check. Then I have to file a complaint and its just a big f ucking mess. That s hit will definately change this year no doubt.

Curious because I missed the photo op, the car was completed before I got to the shop.

I plan on taking my car to ldl to have the clutch replaced. After talking with john and personally being there and meeting denis a couple of times i have nothing but faith that it is a good shop. I just wish that rowdy would let all this calm down and let the past be past.
