I don't want to pay for somthing like ecutec rights @ $600 when I can flash with the cable for free. So if they can custom tune with the charge being for the tune and dyno time only I'd like to have them tune it, if not I need more details

So now I have the VIII. I have heard that bad syncros are an infamous problem. Today shifting 1-5 @ redline, 4th and 5th get a little grind. Per the previous owner, the tranny fluid is still the original.
With the subies, 3qt MT90 with 1qt shockproof cleared this up for me.
The car has 33k, under warranty, so if I do need to have the syncros replaced, how long does that usually take. And compared to the IX, the clutch seems alot less crisp with less travel. Also have some stiffness going into 1st when the engine is cold. After warm up it seems fine though.
Anyway, just wanted some advice from the guys who have some trial and error experience with the synco issue. Any of you able to improve it with the use of better tranny fluid?
Thanks
