Las Vegas Evo's
True. Its a 25psi spike that tapers back down to 20 at 4000rpm. Thats why the torque is high but the power is down, because at peak hp its tapering to 18. I'll post the log, I log boost as well thats how I know it tapers so quick.
Also who knows what boost marc was pushing, you turned it up twice while it was on the rollers ninja! lol
(read: this is all in fun, me and trev been doing this for years on about 4 diff forums. Dont take it the wrong way

)And I dont know why your so surprised that the boost drops off in your car, all stock turbos do that, even Boostins
I still cant find out why my car shoots out "white" smoke through the exhaust at idle and wot. I have a minor leak but thats an easy fix, we also discovered that my radiator might be leaking as well. The car runs smooth but I will no longer drive it until I pinpoint the problem. Before I do a compression test I will take out the coolant lines off the turbo, fire her up and see if that stops the smoke, if so I may have a bad turbo.
Oil temp and press is normal, oil level is full. Any inputs?

I was turning the boost down each time. First pass it boosted 2.4 bar, I havent tuned that high in the maps so it ran rich and had no timing, hence 380 hp or what ever it was I turned the controller a few turns down and it went to 2.1 bar and it made 577 and I turned it down a little more to see what would happen and it made 565, all in that order.

I am at work gonzo! iPhone FTW!
Afr's were dangerously in the 12's so the fact that I can get them down and make about the same power up top with more down low is a big plus. The car is much safer. Taking out fuel allowed me to add more timing and hold it with no knock.
Also, remember the first pull is usually gonna be your best since the car is cold. I did this tune on 100 and the car was originally tuned for 91 and meth.
As for the 3rd or 4th gear rule. The gearing in the 6spd lets you do either. If you don't believe that, then call AMS or Buschur and tell them they're full of shat
on a side note, the thing I thought was crazy was that on the first pull the car was hitting mid 12 afr's in the middle and up top and there was no knock what-so-ever hmmmm..

My AFR's are 12-12.5 on 91+50%meth/H2O, no knock on the utec, a few 1or2's when logging the ecu. So seems to be about right. then again, we are using 2 different wide bands so you have to leave a few tenths for sensor descrepencies.
And again, my coolingmist system has a BIG jet. Uses twice that of the SMC I have on the subie.
