not sure if it's actually needed.
no no no I had that and it doesn't work, its for a 20g (green) you would have to chop off inches of it to work & then you wouldn't have that flange and your licp would blow off

Thx I'm just so frustrated with the thing right now...one minute I just wanna blow it up and the next I wanna drop a 2.3 in it....I'll get it all figured out

I've seen a couple of the 2.4 blocks what does that come out of anyway? The thing I've been looking at the most is a 2.3 but what sucks is I'm going to have to pay a core charge if I purchase new from a shop, I did find a used block for $3500 but the used part is always iffy

they come in a few cars. Ones a galant another is 02 03 eclipse. I got my block for something like $600. You can destoke it to whatever you want. I went 2.1. Check out slowboy racing. Thats what they seem to specialize in.

Jesse,

So are you in for this weekend, or need another week or two?

Anyone else?

So the IX turbo went on without a hitch. Doug from DDP and I got it in quite smoothly. But luck only goes so far in the performance industry. LOL
Made initially 20more whp and 30tq with just the IX turbo swap alone. (same dyno same day same boost) and I get 26psi at 3600rpm as opposed to like 5500 on the VIII turbo. that was nice but surprising. That is also my peak tq.
Anyway, after several runs my coil packs went to crap. New plugs lasted only a handfull of runs and the misfires returned.
so.
Anyone have a set of good VIII coil packs? Need them asap as I can get this thing on e85 tonight if I get some coils today.
LMK, and thanks everyone!

Hey thats where I saw that was slowboy so you've got a 2.1 with built head and 35r right?

I'm glad ya like it I didn't get the chance to hit the dyno with mine but I could tell a difference in torque it felt pretty spunky

did ya end up with a huge hole in the block backside you can see bottom of oil dipstick. Weird huh? I'll post pictures etc.. when we get motor out I'm sure I'll be very surprised and everyone else too. 4g64 wouldn't be too bad if I could get it destroked to 2.3 I just wonder how long the process and $$ ? I could always stick a stock block back in there but why and hopefully the heads alright because we found pieces of the block and pieces that could possibly be piston or cylinder wall

I'm not sure of the pricing, you got to call trev or whoever works on your car, but the only long wait is waiting for parts. If you ordered them all right now it would probably be done in a month. You would definately save money. A stock evo block is over 2500 dollars. from what i remember.
