Ya Wes the IX block would need to be used with a mivec head. From what I found out, the cooling passages were changed so the holes dont match up. Head gasket is different and everything. Thats really the only difference though, no extra parts on the block. I bet finding an 8 block would be easier and cheaper to be honest. I just did a quick search for "block" and narrowed it down to just evo member engine/turbo/drivetrain classifieds section and saw a bunch of stuff. This one looks good, long block (means head too) for 2k isnt bad.

B, Im still up here eh I need to order those pads, did you get the pf97's? Hope you didnt take the last set haha. I have to check with Marcus and make sure he is still down to go, I dunno man thats one heck of a drive! I really need to find a way to tow my car then Im all over it. But man thats going to be like a $1000 weekend! Ugh lol.

Did you see the 17x9.5 NTO3+M's in the living room? I cleaned em up all pretty before I left haha! Need to slap some track rubber on those bad boys and I'll be good to go

Brandon, I just looked at the redline site. You do realize this isnt a track event, its a full time attack right? So you have to conform to the rules if you want to run it. It doesnt have an HPDE portion associated with it, its just straight up time attack lol. I can do the street class but I need to put my cat back on. Will probably have to retune for 91 too since running 100 if I drive up might kill my bank account hehe. I dont think you can do street since your tires are too wide though Will have to find out if Marcus's new exhaust eliminated all his cats, he might have to do modified as well. Thomas cant go, his brother's wedding is that weekend. Sucks.

I already talked to nick @RTA and we are good to go.
We will both be in street class just not eligible for awards.
You dont need to put the kitty back on either. Marcus is game as well, and these rules apply for him as well.
You dont need a room so,
ya I would say a $1000 bucks, but eh you only live once?
plus Nick said this is the one TA that your going to want to be at, hes got a ****load of new stuff lined up and the track/facilities are amongst the best in the country.

Yea I don't plan on dropping a ix motor in I mean it would be cool and all but I think a stroker is better..I did find a 2.3 for $3500 but $2k for a long block that isn't bad at all

If you & brandon etc.. are going to slc and brandon you should stop n pick me up haha I might not have a car to drive still & still could ride in a evo

have a question for you vegas guys..

I have a buddy who plans on taking his evo out to vegas for a weekend out in the strip w/ the works done to it (full cwest bodykit, widebody, big gt wing, etc etc.. you guys get the picture).. now I suggested it may be a bad idea but I figured I might as well get your opinion.. my question is, is LV PD harsh on import guys such as giving frequent fix-it citations such as modified exhaust, blah blah blah..

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys

Long as he no drive like a retard, shouldnt have an issue. There are lots of modded cars in the Vegas area.
