ive been looking into e85 a lot lately too.. chris, more info on the 2 maps. would i just have to run the tank to e (say on e95) then fill it up with 91 and flip a switch? well then i would have to turn the boost down and dial that in. it would be nice to have the 91 tune just in case.. oh and since i already have one of your amazing 91 tunes would it be cheaper, haha. let me know

you can also have ecu controlled boost & when switching between maps switch boost levels at the same time Can even use that same setup with meth & no meth as well as having failsafe kick back boost n cut to different map...pretty cool stuff

I'm talking about the tephra v5 patch btw

I have read about all the cool stuff you could do with this tephra thingy... Its just a bit above my skill level at this time. Having the valet mode would be cool.

I've used the first patch for a long time now without the alt map switching.

I use Valet mode & Cel knock light

nlts (flat foot) mode --don't use

its really simple to do, I'm sure chris or someone down there would help you out if not I could help you out. Its modifying a few things then basically just copying all your maps over

Im using his version 5 right now in my car, with Jacks harness. Thats what I was talking about. I also have knock light and ecu controlled boost, so map switching switches my boost back and forth from 25 to 20psi as well. But you guys are talking about getting into some serious ecu hacking. I have no prob doing it on my car because if I jack it up, its my bad and I fix it. Im just a little piddly garage tuner, I dont want to dive into the problems of doing stuff like that to be honest hehe. I did think about it.

For alt map switching, you would need to adjust boost as well, so like brian said its not just a flip of a switch since I know most of you are running MBC's.

Its complicated stuff, but if you guys want to dive into I could and have done it.

When i first heard about the Tephra thing i was researching ecu boost control with running the 2 maps. This was the path i wanted to take and still do, however i was a bit intimidated by it. I guess i just need start messing around with these things... Its not like im doing much at work anyway.. LOL

Thats why I haven't got into ecu controlled boost yet because I've got a mbc and a mac valve for failsafe for my meth kit. So if I got into map switching I would just want a 91 octane map with same boost levels or just do like I currently have setup run outta meth etc.. failsafe kick in wastegate psi or turn off the spray and run wastegate...but wastegate psi sucks

now I'm not familiar with the ecu controlled boost since I haven't messed with it but everything else wasn't too bad just kind of a pain. I've also got my map 2byte & evoscan to read 2byte

I actually need to scale my tables out more still but well I just think it needs to hop back on a dyno after it gets put together again

a dude i work in the same casino as(i barely know him) but anyways he asked me if i knew anybody that wanted to buy his 06 GG IX MR. It has 30,000 miles, fully stock with a brand new factory clutch. I told him to go to evom but then apparently he doesnt own a computer(wth doesnt own a computer nowadays?) so i thought id help him out and post it up. anyways i asked him how much he wanted for it and he said $28,000. i told him that 28,000 is ambitious. well if anyones interested or wants to throw an offer, pm me for his phone number.

thanks for all the info wes. i guess adjusting the boost manually wouldnt be so bad, i just want the 91 map in case i cant get any e85. i wouldnt mind having the valet mode tho. why do you say not to get the NLTS?
