Have you ever tried to shift one at 8500?

I have an act street disc in my one evo and it has 0 problems shifting at 7k 75k. But That six puck I had with the extreme pressure plate just didnt work after 8k. If you shifted it at 75k it worked every time so I personally dont think it was adjustment. Just the fact that the clutch wasnt designed for higher rpms... So now just got to love the exedy triple! Works EVERY time!

6 puck anything sucks drag racing. Those are more for road racing. And no I never tried shifting that thing at 8500. That ACT is by no means a heavy duty drag clutch meant to take that high. I think just about any clutch besides twin or higher will have problems that high in the rpms. For dd and price you can not go wrong with the ACT. I had at least a 100 launches on that thing.

Alright I'm done sounding like a damn ACT rep.

yeah mine has locked me out a few times when i was hittin high rpms. sometimes i would forget to shift or think i was in a honda or something, but i would take it past redline. i have plans to be able to run it up that high in the near future, i guess id better be looking into a more beefy clutch then.

ya I thought I had checked all the lines and my solenoid was bad (p0401) however i checked again today and the bottom line was loose. Plugged it back in, reset the ECU and all is well. Car is back to being quick.
Now the damn thing drops to 600rpms when rolling up to a light in neutral. It never did this so its sorta weird. I want to disable the EGR, and go to SD.
Did you notice if the idle was more stable with all that **** disabled?
