Vta Bov Question?

Hey Guys ,

I was just checking to see if anyone has installed a VTA BOV and what, if any problems, they have had? Also, which brand do they have too. Let me know!!!

billy! some people report some stumbling (bogging) due to the engine dumping in extra fuel to compensate for the "lost" air. Besides that I havent heard of anything else.

Some say they get it others say no so.....

Hey Guru,

besides that, will changing it to VTA hurt the engine at all, besides the possible extra fuel dump? Thanks guy, and yes, I am a newbie if you couldn't tell!

It is always safer to run rich than lean. Though running lean is faster, it will mess up the engine. VTA will run lean. There is really no point in VTA, only coolness factor, because you are wasting the air that could otherwise be used by the intake.

yes, and that's only really with the Karman style MAF we have that takes the blown off air into consideration when calculating the fuel mixture.
