You don't have to be an SCLC member to do this event. But seriously, what do you have against a few bucks that have gone towards getting a group of Lancer owners the power to save hundreds of dollars on parts, discounts, free stuff, and community? This is a non-profit organization with zero employees. That means none of us officers get paid, actually we all have donated countless hours and some of our own money to make this happen. All of the club dues, which I have to say is a small fee for an entire year, go into an account which we will use to pay for an end-of-the-year banquet and some other perks for the members. I am slightly offended at your comment, and hope you just mentioned it because you don't feel like spending any money right now. And for the record, even the officers are paying membership dues with the exception of Vince, who has already set fourth $400+ to file paperwork for our non-profit status and resale license.

Yes kareem is right, if you are just putting your name on the list for the heck of it, you shouldnt, we need 50 cars! So if you requested the day off and dont get it off, you better come anyway if you have your name on the list hehheh. "call in dead" is my motto.

We have honestly given you 6 weeks notice to this event. THis is plenty of time to ask the ol' boss/wife/gf/brother/sister/mom/dad/ect. for a day off. Hope you guys can make it.

 

I have an idea, why don't you guys take a $$$ deposit, that makes sure those people will show up. Refund the deposit when they show up.

 

I believe that would just be too much/over the top... The club and guests just need to be honest and committed that's all. I think it has been stated enough about the severity of backing out on this. Making deposits...extra leg work... etc just to ensure the event happens actually is a huge burden on our board members... remember they are not paid to do this! Just give them a break and come if you say you are going to. In the end if something happens and you can't attend we will deal with that... but all they are asking is for support and honesty... not much i think!

Well, we have between 15-20 lancers at a normal meet (including 5 or so evo's). The club is fairly old but we just got incorporated and organized a few months ago.

Well... I for one will definitely be there. I am going throw no-car withdrawal right now and canīt wait to get back to the US to drive my car around. Schlepping a 50 lb backpack with everything I brought with me sucks ***.
