Reno Area anybody?
I like your taste in cars! It was a 03 AV6 coupe. A/T though. I loved that car. Very comfortable, good power, and decent handling. The hfp kit really made the car look sporty along with bigger rims (I had 19s on it). I ran it at Fallon once, and can't remember exactly, but I think it ran high 14s with the Injen CAI. Were you ever on v6p.net?
Well I finally got around to doing a full detail on my Evo using my new stuff yesterday! Check out the link and let me know what you think!

Thanks man! I've also been hand waxing cars for over 4 years, so when i got my dual-action polisher it makes it much easier!Just a reminder if anyone wants a detail just let me know what you want done and I'll give you a quote. It'll be much cheaper for you guys compared to what ill be charging other people.

LOL, yeah mine was the A/T also, I was always kicking myself always for not getting the 6speed. Yeah im still on V6P.net under '0tolerance'!
I was down at Allison today to pick up a filter and asked the parts guy when they were gonna get the Evo X. He said today!
So look for them prowling the streets of Reno soon. If they did get them in and they have some tomorrow I may go up and check them out.

Interesting. I want to make it out there this weekend to check it out. I wonder how much the dealer markup is. Allison wasn't very good price-wise when I was looking to get into an Evo IX.
Don't know if you saw the thread that Norco Mitsu posted up when they got their 1st Evo X, but they had theirs going for 35k. It had a little over 2k worth of options though.
It's a buyer's market right now, they shouldn't have anything marked up over MSRP.
People just aren't buying cars right now and most stealerships are hurting... they should be willing to wheel and deal, and if they're not then I can guarantee there is one somewhere that will. The trick is to not really care if you get it or not; set a price that you want to pay and stick with it regardless of what they say.
When I bought my MR it was when they had just hit the US market. I went to all the dealerships in Sac and San Fran with cash in hand, MSRP, and they all laughed me out the door; said that there was no way I was going to find an MR for under 42K (sellers market at the time). I litteraly had cash in hand! I stuck with my guns and eventually found a dealership in LA that had exactly what I wanted and I paid exactly what I wanted. Just don't get emotional about a purchase and act like you could care less. Always helps too to have someone else go with you and play the devil's advocate...
Be interesting to see what Nissan is going to do when the GT-R hits here this June/July.

. Would you sell the Porsche for the new GT-R?
so i got some hands-on time with the X today at People's Mitsubishi while im here visiting in LV. and i am impressed. the car is a lot easier to live with daily, the motor revs very quickly, like it has a lightened flywheel or something because it drops revs fast also. it doesn't feel as fast as a IX though but definitely faster than an VIII. the steering is a little duller, but still quick, but the way it holds the road is amazing it doesn't understeer as much as the IX's do; especially through a long sweeper. the brakes feel much better this time, which is awesome because the IX's-VIII's brakes stop well, but don't have great feel. imo. the new recaro's don't look as good as the IX's seats, but they feel good. they just look a little cheaper this time. ( suede/cloth vs suede/leather) my one big gripe is the clutch, it's really light on the pressure like a regular lancer's but i guess it has more torque capacity which is weird. finallly the price: they originally wanted 45k with markup, but they wanted my IX RS for 25k,(i paid 28k brand new) and they dropped the price to exactly MSRP which is 32,990 which is a good price, but im gonna see if i can get 'em below that. if i can, then i'll be a new X owner, if not, no biggie i'll just mod up my IX with the money. bottom line is, it's a great car and with tuning and the AWC-AYC capabilities, it'll be a nasty car.

Regardless good luck with the purchase and hope all goes well for you!
Haven't decided on that one yet... Although the performance is phenomenal I'm only an exhaust and chip away from 540hp with my Turbo and it will most likely hold it's resale better than the GT-R. One of the reasons I bought the Porsche was so that I wouldn't have to buy another car for quite some time; I wanted something that would remain somewhat timeless
