Reno Area anybody?
Last winter, we had a meet up at In-N-Out. All I remember from that meet was being really really cold. My toes practically turned into ice cubes.
On another note, on Saturday, 12/8 8am, I'm going out the RFR to get the track permit. The more people that come out, the cheaper it will be. Anyone else interested?

P.S. Nice to meet everyone who was @ Allison two weekends ago...

I'm not sure how much it'll be. How much was it for you 82NoMe? (if you don't mind). It probably won't be cheap. I think normally, the cost for the class is around $400. That will be discounted based on how many people get out there on one day to take advantage of a group rate. This 12/8 meeting I think is being rounded up by Infinite Velocity Motorsport, so hopefully there'll be other people out there to lower the costs. If you guys are remotely interested, you should come out even if you don't have enough money. You never know if they'll let you just participate and do some fun stuff at the track. Or they might cut us a deal that might put it in your price budget.
Hi all,
The RFR (Reno Fernley Raceway) permit is $295.
While is not cheap it is probably the best Driver Mod you will ever make.
The permit allows you to go and drive your EVO the way is meant to be driven. The class is all behind the wheel. Starts with a slalom course, then some Auto-X type laps. Then in the afternoon you running the big track.

Check out how good we got it. For comparison to another track that I have a lot of time at., Sears Point.
Sears Point (Infineon) a full track day is $500 & a half day is $300. They have one configuration.
RFR is charging only a $100 for a full day now. They have 15 configurations and from my experience a fraction of the participation. The last time I went out I was with Two buddies and another Vette.

hey hee, my permit is good till feb 08...but i dont wanna use my car cause of my TC., anyways when i did mine...it was a blast. i'll show up to take pictures if you like.....as long as you give me a ride hehehee....bring a helmet if you have one., if not i can bring an extra one. their helemets are nasty!!! hehehe
Thanks for reminding me about the helmet. Good thing I got one when I ran <13 secs at Fallon. And it'd be cool if you rode with me. It'll be good to see you out there.
I can usually take off work on weekdays if things are calm, so I think it would be worthwhile for me to get the permit. Besides, I'd like to see what they teach in terms of driving technique.

Dunno if anybody reads motor trend and all that but I was flipping through it at the store because it had a evo X vs. evo IX article. Blah blah blah but just thought it was interesting they tested the two at reno fernley raceway. Props for northern nevada.
