Reno Area anybody?
That ain't cool, sorry to hear that happened bro, there are too many haters in Reno/Sparks, just sorry it had to happen to you and an Evo. Who ever it was, thay should hate on their own(domestic), why hate on imports if they can't keep up
ummm... my domestic can keep up plenty well. And grouping people like this to all domestics is like grouping all the ricers to imports.
It's good to see the Reno Evo board is alive and well. My second daughter is due any time now and I want to make some space in the garage, so I'm putting my Evo rims up for sale. I want to sell local so that I don't have to ship, but if they don't sell by the end of this month, I'll probably raise the prices on them and ship them.
1st set:
Set of 4 stock IX enkei rims spray painted black with red mitsu emblem. Painted about 3 coats with 2 coats of clear. The tires are the stock Yoko Advans with only about 3000 miles on them with a lot of tread left. Never curbed and no scratches.
$400 - (the tires alone are probably worth this)
2nd set:
Set of 4 stock IX MR BBS rims. It's the standard gunmetal rims and not the SE rims. The tires are stock Yoko Advans with about 9000 miles on them. The insides are a bit worn but should still be good for another 3000 miles or so. Never curbed and no scratches.
$700 - (I've seen these rims go for around $1000 without tires)
I will try to get some pictures up soon, or pm me and you can see them in person. I'm in south Reno.

We got a place thats literally ON sparks marina, and Im big into fishing so that was a huge plus for me hehe. Also it has a garage, and no evo owner should ever park outside haha. Just signed a 6 month lease so we can get situated and learn the area, Im going to be looking at houses soon I hate apartments ><
Tuning is a lot of fun, and easily learnable thats what I did. LOTS of good info in the ecuflash forum, and I used to post over there quite a bit but just dont have alot of time now. I run ecu controlled boost with Tephra map switching and the whole nine yards. The only thing I HIGHLY emphasize is never tune without a wideband. I love my Zeitronix and recommend it alot. If you dont know what your AFR's are, your just playing with fire hehe. Widebands are cheap, and they actually make self tuning 10 times easier hehe.

Hey wattup guys! Check this out..I'm sure there are some people that might be interested in it..Streetcar challenege in Reno:
I need a head count for this event. $80 entry, $1000 prize, rules as follows:
RULES FOR 2008 RENO-FERNLEY RACEWAY STREET CAR CHALLENGE
Open to all vehicles. Vehicles must be roadworthy and street legal. Reno-Fernley Raceway and its subsidiaries will not be held responsible for any damages to persons or vehicles involved in the Street Car Challenge (SCC).
The purpose of this event is to reward the best street car based on multiple tasks and judging. The tasks will be as follows:
Forty mile drive and measured fuel mileage over the forty miles.
Show and shine competition where participants will be judged on items like, but not limited to, paint, tires, seating, cup holders, interior lighting, stereo and HVAC.
Total modification list. This will be part of the initial sign-up sheet and will be verified at the show and shine. The most mods wins this event.
60 to 0 braking. Shortest distance wins. Each participant gets two attempts.
Drag race. We will develop ladders during the drag test and tune. It will be single elimination style. Red lights count.
This is a full day event. We will meet at 9am at the McChevron on Vista to "top-off" and finish registration. We will then drive as a group on Interstate 80 and end up at the Chevron at the east side of Fernley to "top-off" again to compute mileage. All participants will drive the same speed, we will have a lead and tail car. We will then drive to Reno-Fernley Raceway (RFR) and immediately begin the judging for the car show. As soon as your judging is done you may prepare your car the the braking challenge. We will open a strip on the lower paddock where participants will be able to practice. Judging will be based on a radar gun verified speed, space constrained, line and cone strip. Vehicles risk elimination by line or cone contact. This means MAINTAIN CONTROL. Drag strip will be open the entire day. After your mileage, show and shine, mods list, and braking challenges are judged you may begin practicing on the drag strip. The ladder will be posted at the timing shack by the starting line. The ladder will decided by random draw and have elimination round times next to each round. If you are late you forfeit. You may change your setup between events.
Judging will be based on the total number of cars. If we have 85 cars, the first place finisher for each event gets 85 points, second place gets 84, third gets 83 and so on. All judging is based on three independent judges with majority rule.
Entry is $80. The winner gets $1000!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spectators/pit crew are $5. Trophies will be awarded to the winner of each task and first through fourth place.
