Is it really $500 to do the hill climb? I was thinking about going next year but wtf thats a bit steep. I can do 3 track events for that!

Yes it is a bit but the fun won't compare to an autocross or even track day...you just have to have your stuff together. I had 12 runs 6 sat. and 6 sun. 2 were no good due to issues caused by me. You get 2 dinners sat night and sunday award banquet which is free for drivers and 45 for extra tickets. You get t-shirt also. I highly suggest going up there and drive it and think about being at speed because it can be very sketchy.A memory of the turns is important to drive anywhere near 10/10ths.

Nice to see you Lion. I think the meet season is just about over since its getting pretty cold though.

Jeremy, I would rather do a full day of track x3 then 6 3 min runs. Actually thats very similar to an autocross if you ask me, just way more unforgiving if you f up

^ I'm going to go with no on it being like autocross. nowhere in autocross do you get to blast above 130mph or take turns in 3rd gear at wot. Considering what its being done on a public road that has people living off of it 500 is pretty good price. The 12 runs he got could have been more if he did not have his tech. difficulties. That chewed up almost 2 hours of his run time.

Damn almost forgot about that. I have not had a chance to see if the disk works on my computer. If I get a chance this weekend I will mess with it, but I have drill so will be working. Have some fast *** laps today.

I meant the runs. I get 5 runs on sat and 5 runs on sunday for 50 bucks. Track day gets above 130 mph, and RFR has plenty of third gear turns. If they did prizes or something to recoup the price, then cool. But trophys is just not worth it to me when I can get the same kicks for 1/3 the cost. Beating up on ferrari's is never a bad thing though, so I get the appeal. I just have to be cost effective on my wheel time in this economy if you know what I mean. Its all about seat time divided by cost for me.

Jeremy, you really should come out to some events though. Season is pretty much over now, but it would be nice to have another fast evo out there to beat up on all the subys!

well, the only thing I'm comparing it to is 3-4 diff. configurations at RFR and Thunderhill. The turns are alot more fun IMO ...banked corners never dropping into 2nd, no off camber bumpy corners or hard to read corners...as close as you can get to a tarmac section of a World Rally. Regardless, I think next year were going to have less options anyway due to RFR belonging to the bank now and I'm sure shutting down next year. There probably won't be a hill climb either as to what the Ferrari club was kind of hinting due to the economy.

Chris, I kind of kept it budget racing on my side as to less seat time and go all out when I do go...less wear and tear.I agree it is real expensive when you race alot and have to pay for tires/pads/rotors/events etc..I guess I'll have to wait and see what options there will be next year
