Josh, what do you think? It wasn't showing any knock while we were tuning it. Just a bit annoying at times.

I remember asking you if he bled the lifters & I thought you said he did.

If in fact you do have a collapsed lifter, that could potentially be big trouble & would be possible to chuck a rocker arm. Remove the rocker cover, it should be easily identifiable, you may have to roll the engine over by hand to find it.

Yes, valvetrain noise can trigger the knock sensor.

 

Curious, has anyone picked up GT-5 yet, did it live up to the hype?

 

Good racing game = yes

Can I see why it took 8 years? No.

The "premium" cars are nice, they are really detailed and have interiors etc, but the vast majority of cars are carry overs from the old games, and you can't race with a dashboard view. I was also hoping the upgrades would be more in-depth now, but they're not so much. They even took brake upgrades out of the game, which is weird.

Still worth playing if you already have a PS3 though, could probably find some used ones already, I know a lot of people were let down and got rid of it early.

I built it Home depot special, awww ya! The only expensive part was the pressure regulator.

Worked really well, except it didn't want to stay on the turbo when under pressure, fixed that with an extra hose clamp.

Found a giant boost leak though I think it happened when that stupid re-tread tried to rip off the front and undercarriage of my car Hopefully an easy fix, then I can test it again and make sure the rest of the system is good. At least up to that point should be good.

I've been back in forth about getting it, I don't have many friends that have it. If no one gets it for me for xmas then I'll probably get it after new years. I'd really like to sell one of my lcd tv's and get a 3d led tv but I think I'm going to pickup a macbook pro for school starting in Jan.
