Thank you for the info gear head, it is very much appreciated! I think I have a pretty set idea of what I'll be doing for now, and then future plans for later on. First I just want a better tune and to switch over to E85 (injectors/fuel pump/map sensor/bcs).

Then I will go back to focusing on other aspects of the car setup, misc other changes, and seat time/experience driving.

Later on down the road I will do other upgrades all together and another tune. BBK Full or HKS 7460R (still want quick response for road racing but a bit more power and wider power band), cams, intake/exhaust/O2 manifolds PNP or replace, and FMIC core. I feel like that will get me a nice setup suited for road racing. Whenever the motor blows (it's inevitable lol), then I'll go with a big turbo kit and motor build to take on biggie

Any feelings on the Tomei Arms stock frame turbo for the Evo VIII?

I'd love at the sacrifice of some top end, keep some nice low-end for these altitudes.

Don't you want the motor to crank for the compression test though?

i have all the fittings i just don't want to take them all. Do you know what size it uses for the evo 8s and 9s?

M14

You are turning the engine over with the starter, unplugging the crank sensor kills the injectors, Really though, you should be doing a leak down instead.

Ya I've got the Tomei turbo. I love it but its all I've ever known. Currently im just in the process of figuring out why I've got slow spool up. Im not hitting full boost (21lbs) till 47-4800 rpms (4th gear). Checked for boost leaks, checked lines, and everything is good. Ran the mbc at full soft and it is 12lbs. Someone said it should be atleast 14lbs and probably best at 18lbs if Im runnig 21+. It pulls hard and very strong through the entire powerband. Its supposed to spool as quick as a stock 9 And if I can work everythng out and have that much response with the current power im a happy driver. Im hoping to be in the 375-400HP range when im done with everything by the end of the summer. If anyone feels like they can help out please put in your.02¢https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...l-up-help.html

Thanks for speaking up ...

I'm sure there are a few here that are experts. Do you have a good logging utility? I'm planning on getting my Omori MAP sensor to log beside my rpm. I've noticed its pretty hard to make to make a boost profile judgement on the road while my eyes need to be elsewhere.

Keep us updated.

Enjoy!
