Yeah, thats kind of why I would think it's related to the 3-4 shift fork or rail.

Pretty much just need to look at the condition of the cables...I just looked in the FSM & Alldata, there are no specs listed for the cables.

By the sounds of it I would go with the shift forks(most likely) or possibly the synchros...sure it's not cables either way he's gotta pull his trans ftl

I had a bent 2nd shift fork as well as some other problems..flat foot shifting is hell on the trans lol actually no matter what ya do in the evos the trans just take a beating

The cables more than likely aren't the problem, however, I would still give them a look over first...cables can & do stretch which will cause a hard to no shift.

Its a anime thing you wouldn't understand anyway.

But I am watching the anime now (on like Chapter 5 of Book 1) just to see how it lines up with the movie and see what happens after the events in the movie.
The Movie only shows about half of the first book and then ends it with one of the last episodes After watching a few episodes I got into it after my little brother had already watched them all and was watching them again. I ended up liking it a lot and watched it all in a few weeks.

NetFlix is a great place to check out some anime shows or movies Watch some movies and you might like anime I just like watching cartoons and animated movies and shows a lot so I liked that anime is catered a little bit more towards the old kids / adults with violence, graphics etc. I use to have quite a few movies but they got stolen or lost some how

anyone know a good place to do a clutch install? adam munoa is out of town and haven't heard back. my trusted mechanic quoted me $800 + parts. I'll go as far as slc and provo. I know experienced people can do it in 5-6 hours.

Feels like my clutch is slipping. if i go WOT at 3k rpms it'll spike up a 1k as soon as it hits ~4k rpms and then the RPMs drop back down and it goes. I haven't been able to test cleaning the MAF because of this issue. thanks!

Clutch jobs on Evos are like 9-10 hours by the books It sucks that they take that long and are pricey on top of how expensive our clutches already cost

What clutch are you looking at getting also? Hopefully your fly wheel is still fine. They can take quite a bit of abuse and the clutch will usually go out before the fly wheel needs replacing. Usually they just need to get resurfaced.

Werd, and DO NOT get a lighter flywheel !!! I have the act streetlite only 1 pound difference and I hate it. If you don't tune in an artificial rev hang then shifts will be jerky and annoying because the rpms drop so fast.

Just a heads up

I usually don't shift very fast because I have a notchy tranny so I shift slower so it doesn't notch.

Come drive it and you will see

I got the exedy stage 1 organic HD for $475 ($512 including 2nd day shipping) at http://thmotorsports.com/exedy_clutc.../i-236947.aspx

560 flat rate at Solid Autoworks. For the labor + fluids ($12 a qt) and tax it ends up being closer to 700. pretty good price, and 15-20 minutes from my work.

yeah, I've heard staying with stock flywheel is a good idea. It's actually a really good unit. It's too bad the oem clutch is weak.
