I'd personally be even more careful. Evos can have a lot of little nasty problems like leaking headgaskets, cracked manifolds, tweaked hub bearings, and my favorite, electrical problems because some id10t decided to hack into the factory wiring harness without plan, knowledge, or experience. I'd hate for you to get a lemon.

On this car in particular my BS flag goes up with that intake and manifold. Getting an intake without a nice boxed in design from a reputable company means you could be dealing with a g-ricer. At this point I'd try to pull the maps and see if its tried to be t00ned, how good is the tune, and/or it may have been damaged due to the t00n.

I hate to rain on your parade, but I'd hate for an overpriced lemon to come from Utah.

 

Exactly! Guys who put eBay manifolds on evos usually dot follow thru with good quality parts & a tune...most of the ricer idiots just slap crap on and don't tune lol they also like to dump the clutch on launches like its a Honda and poor clutch / trans / tcase

I started this car up a week ago while I was down there. It was already warm and still ran like crap. Idle was all over the place. Not sure if it is still that way, but I didn't even drive it.

Hey does anyone know who Kyle Webb is with the Red 08 Evo X? He lives up in the Ogden area and I wanted to know if anyone knows what turbo kit/ setup he has on that car?

 

i live in ogden and i personally have not seen a red evo x around. only ones i see are blue silver and 1 black evo x. why whats up? if i see him or the car i will try and find out for you. i personally dont know him.

 

Well the car was actually sold to this nice guy from Moab and he cam into my work with a the problem of his car not being able to boost past 7 or 9 psi. Its a clean car with just under 23k miles on it. It has a Turbonetics V band turbo on it was a manifold that is just cracked bad. I don't think the turbo kit has been on it long but its a bad exhaust leak and looking at this manifold I would recommend that no one ever buys one I also have no idea what kit it is so thats why I am trying to find out if anyone knows what kit it is on this car

 

what have you wingless guys done to plug your trunk holes?? or if someone has a carbon trunk local i might be interested in buying it.
