Evo X sheriff???
I was at Autozone the other day and I heard a rumor that there is a 500-600 hp Evo X undercover sheriff in Utah county!?!? Anyone heard this? It has to be new because rumer has it that it's a heavily modes 2011. Just curious if anyone else has heard or seen this in person. I'd love to read an article or see a photo of it.

+1 Jake.I know there is a Undercover 2009 or 2010 Blue Mustang GT with Decepticon Badges on it, also a Undercover Blacked out C5 Corvette.
When I lived in Denver a few years back there where undercover STI's about 12 of them. The only ones I saw where Black or Blue.

"Peace" officers were always intended to be implemented as "part of the community" and that is through visibility. Its also easier to "police the police" with marked cars. When you see a marked car act like a driving <bleepity bleep> you can call them in and get pretty good response. When regular cars dress up undercover, for "non-undercover" patrol service it breeds a level of "us vs. them" I don't appreciate from the police at large.
Plus ... what's to say that you're not getting pulled over by some car thieves that wired up some fancy blinky led lights?
Utah was the victim in I think Price area years ago where a lady was pulled over, dragged out of her car, beaten, and left at the side of the road presumed dead over some thieves with some lights in the dashboard.

Some very valid points. Not to beat a dead horse here, but there is a seemingly common transition occuring amongst law enforcement agencies that involves demonstrating a sense higher power in a unnessisary and demeaning manor. Provo city police department was recently under investigation for exercising excessive force. I read an article on it and it was very intresting. IMO it seems that police are falling from the category of "protect and serve" to "demean and harass". Though this may be a nessisarry step in keeping control of skyrocketing crime rates and violence amonst communities, it is a poor situation either way.

I'd love to see a GRAMA request on total dollars in revenue for each "justice" court regarding traffic tickets. I know for a fact that those around me are driving a lot more cautious due to employment etc etc; yet I have yet to see court employees being laid off due to more honest citizens.
A first-order analysis would put number and types of laws in direct proportion to amount of revenue that can be collected in the name of justice.

Wintercross™ 2011-2012
2011-2012 WinterX Events at Miller Motorsports Park
Lap Battle's Wintercross events are a mix of rally, autocross and road racing. Held on the world-famous Miller Motorsports Park road course in Tooele, Utah, Wintercross combines all aspects of a driver’s skill to navigate a course unlike any other.
The conditions of the track are left to nature and the course of the day. Dry pavement, snow, ice, water, slush, dirt, gravel and mud are a few of the conditions that can be encountered. Drivers must anticipate track conditions, speeds and tire choice in order to obtain the title of Wintercross Champion.
Winners standings will be determined by taking 3 timed hot laps, each separate lap will consist of a portion of the actual race course. The driver with the shortest combined time from the two fastest laps, including penalties, will receive 1st place, and so forth. Unlike Autocross, drivers do NOT have to work the course. Just sit back in a heated room sipping hot coco until your next driving session.
2011-2012 WinterX Event Schedule:
• November 19th, 2011
• December 17th, 2011
• January 14th, 2011
• Febuary 18th, 2011
• March 17th, 2011
Lap Battle WinterX entry (on-line registration) - $65

Its tax revenue for "doing something" plain and simple. A lot of times I think they would be better served tending a community garden.
