it's actually not that bad. i thought it was going to be way more complex than it really is haha. i don't have a press to do the actual bearings/gears/hubs/etc, but at least i can save a lot of labor by getting it to this point.
i'm not too worried about it. i bugged him enough when i was trying to get it done the first time around. no parts were broken out of this, i'm pretty sure i can just get the shaft reassembled and it should be all good. the 5th gear synchro was showing wear before, but i think it just died finally.
i agree though, it's really not that difficult, just time consuming. i'd go for it!
? i made one tiny comment. how else does that happen exactly if it wasn't installed right? it has to be pressed onto the shaft followed by the lock ring. something obviously went wrong with install. keep in mind there was ~1.5 track days on this rebuild before it failed. that's probably what, under 25 miles. we can go to pm and continue if you really want to. i don't have any problems with you, i don't know why you got so defensive. i just am choosing to not go with vesko again for my own few reasons. i don't feel like i was really badmouthing though, sorry. i edited the op to be more politically correct. i feel better figuring things out on my own and doing what i can on my own. i'm happy that i opened the case.

Haha I will only race at Miller in something with 4 wheels
I won't be riding a bike on the track. I probably never would do that, but thats just me. I will watch you and Logan do it and then put down a faster time than you in my car
