All the threads where there and it didn't look like it was hit by the piston or anything. Went and put it back in and made sure to torque all of the plugs. Started it up and now it works fine So I'm guessing the loud noise I was hearing was the actual combustion of the fuel. The ignition would blow the spark plug out of the cylinder. When it fell back in it would ignite it the next time. The plug didn't get blown into the engine bay because the third plug is attached to the coil pack bolted down on cylinder two. Kinda weird but the best possible out come for sure.
Crazy! Well that saved you like a ton!

The noise you heard was the compression in that cyl going out the spark plug hole. I would go over every plug to make sure no others are loose just in case. Good news for you either way.

But would it even be able to build compression if it didn't have spark plug in? Plus if it was that I would think it would make the sound more then 2-3 times a second. That's what my thinking was at least.

Man consider your self VERY LUCKY to find a girl like that I am seriously very jealous that you have a girl that like your Evo I need to start with square one first and just find a girl I haven't dated in quite some time now I am a social loser with girls

You are crazy lucky because everything else sounded like you may have done some serous damage. Congrats on the WIN in this case

I wish I had my tax return now and that the weather was warmer so I could do more work on getting my Evo done
