Bingo. Minus the $500 for a tune. Ficker would've done a full on tune on my car (had he known his way around the GRs better) for around 300, I'm guessing. Throw in dyno time and that might've been closer to 500.
But even at 300. I basically got, at least 4 useful tunes for 400 dollars. And I can keep the device I use to switch them (and the cable) in my car.
Plus, with COBB not tuning anymore. There's not really any one super trustworthy to tune my car around here anymore. Sure there's Nate, and eventually I will probably go to him. But for now it's nice not to have to rely on anyone. Once I get to the point that I NEED a custom tune. Then I'll worry about it. But that'll be quite awhile down the road.
As simply stated as possible, it's a particularly convenient way to get "good enough" with your car for quite a few people. For some, that's even worth *$600.00 to some, and even $1K to GTR owners. I'd also like to add that I've needed to call Cobb on several occasions and their customer service is top notch. I have found incredible value in that alone, which has really helped to justify the cost of the AP for me.

More people are admitting to texting and driving now that the law has passed then before...I fully admit to driving and texting. But not texting and driving, which I don't do.
2 of those 3 of 4 probably are the same way.
goto the evo 9 dyno results, guys have made over 500 on e85 with them and saying spool is like a 9 turbo
I'm thinking maybe green, since it's still a DD (with track days whenever I can) and my goal is only 400+ish whp, so the fast spool would be good. The only issue I have is the green is almost as much as the black to begin with once I add the oil line
exactly why i went black, i paid 1900 shipped with the oil line. The Green from AWD is 1650 alone plus 150 for the line or 240 if you buy the install kit so your looking around 1900-2k easily
The black isnt all that peppy on very low rpm but it makes up for it in boost, im not dissapointed with this turbo

i wonder how they feel about watchin movies on my flip up deck
Once I get tired of mine, I'll send it in & have them make it a Red. Right now, the quick spool with the Ti-Al guts from a 6.5 TME I put in it is Tons-O-Fun..I'm going to need new tires soon

From what I understand, in theory I can actually wire ANY wideband back into the ECU, correct? I was looking at the PLX SM-AFR module because I was able to pick up the PLX boost/vac module brand new for $20.00. Ideally, I'd like to use both SM's in their "IMFD" chain and have them both piggybacked and sending info the a single multi-gauge. I'd use the gauges for monitoring and a JDM map sensor and the wideband wired back into the ecu for datalogging. Does this make sense, or am I taking too many steps? I do not want to keep the laptop in the car at all times for monitoring. I figured since I got the vac/boost module for less then the cost of even a cheap boost gauge, I should try to use it. I can just as easily turn around and sell it for twice what I paid, if its not necessary.
The SM+AFR will work well, that's the same one I'm using, RallySport may even have one in stock
As long as the Wideband has a 0-5v output It will work with the ECU.
From the sounds of it you would have two Map sensors, The PLX unit "daisy chained" to the guage & the JDM unit for logging boost..This should work fine, I just use an Autometer guage for viewing boost
