Ideally, I'd like to use both SM's in their "IMFD" chain and have them both piggybacked and sending info the a single multi-gauge. I'd use the gauges for monitoring and a JDM map sensor and the wideband wired back into the ecu for datalogging. Does this make sense, or am I taking too many steps? I do not want to keep the laptop in the car at all times for monitoring. I figured since I got the vac/boost module for less then the cost of even a cheap boost gauge, I should try to use it. I can just as easily turn around and sell it for twice what I paid, if its not necessary.
If you sell the AP for a good price you could always buy the screen that the evoscan guys sell, then you can tune/monitor with that in your car and not worry about a laptop. I've been thinking about getting one myself.

So I finally got my oil, plugs, and air filter changed, and installed my new LICP. Man what a difference!

The old plugs were way worn, they were all gapped between .035 and .040 The car runs sooo much smoother now.

I have a lifter ticking now though, hopefully it just needs to refill with oil and will quiet down.

From the sounds of it you would have two Map sensors, The PLX unit "daisy chained" to the guage & the JDM unit for logging boost..This should work fine, I just use an Autometer guage for viewing boost

Thank you for confirming. In the end I'm hoping to monitor both boost and afr from a single gauge in the cabin, and log using the JDM Map sensor and the aforementioned tools... or at least that is the hope. From what I gather, I'm on the right track as the plx unit allows me both output an analog signal back to the ECU in addition to feeding the DM-100 (the multigauge I plan on using). Both the SM-AFR and SM-Boost/Vacuum units allow for such a daisy chaining in conjunction with that multi-gauge, so it sounds like I'm nearly off to the races. Thanks again!

Honestly, I think I'll keep the AP around a while just for kicks, but the evoscan gauge is nice.

Hey guys i got something wrong with my car. It was running just fine earlier today. Parked it, went to drive it like 20 minutes later and now it won't idle hardly at all. I start it up with the clutch in and it will want to die. With the clutch out it will idle at like 650 so barely. seems to drive fine just doesn't want to idle. Any help would be appreciated.

That's what Wes had. It was a dream. It's what we had on the S too. Great clutch. Not too stiff for daily driving, but plenty durable.

Sounds like you may have a vacuum leak. Check around your engine bay for a hose that's blown off somewhere, the BOV or the intake or something.
