? about a ticket (CA)

so last night I get pulled over for speeding (3rd time getting pulled over this year, fml) 57 in a 35 mph. So to make a long story short, this cop says he will give me a break by writing the ticket in a way that I wont get a point on my record. Is this possible, or was he just ****ing with me?

What vehicle code did he cite on the ticket?

If it is a moving violation you will get a point.

Possible, could have wrote it up for something weird that wasn't speeding for just a fine.

It is possible, I got a ticket and the cop says he will write a "complaint" ticket which is like disturbing the peace and won't go on my record...

Not sure for the US, but in Vancouver Canada, there is such thing as having a speeding ticket and not getting points due to the ticket being on the registered owner of the vehicle and not on the Driver's license.

Best bet is to check with your motor vehicle laws to check the violation that was cited on the ticket.

Haven't heard of anything like this. What vehicle code did he write on the ticket? Only way to get a moving violation with no point that i know of is a coasting ticket.
