turbo timer / stock alarm problems

Can somoene please explain where I went wrong
I recently installed a HKS type 1 turbo timer. The problem with it is I can't take the key out without it turning off the TT.
Everything works on it the way its suppose to except when it is turned to the lock position to take the key out the TT turns off.
Now I installed the correct harness so everything is HKS.
But get this if the key is put to the ACC position on the ignition
the TT will count down and turn the car off properly. But what good does that do me if I cant leave the car with the key.
Also keep in mind that when the cover for the steering colum
was reinstalled a piece broke off directly in front of where the
key tumbler or ignition switch is Its a square box approximatly
inch horizontle and half an inch vertical. What ever was in it broke off and fell out. It seems to affect the door chime if i push the piece back in. I dont know what the hell it is.
Now as far as the alarm goes I accidently pulled the harness
out and put it back in. could this have affected my alarm or is it just a fuse and where is the fuse located?
Really could use some tech advise on this one. THANKS

I noticed that some harneses have a tendency to be wired incorrectlly.
Check to see of tha power cable from the TT (it could probably be red) is conected to the whitte cable from the car 12V constant, this might help to keep the carr running when you get the key out

Check the gray wire that taps to the ebrake line. If the wire is not correctly tapped, the TT will just shut off when the key is out.

what they said.

if you still have trouble, i know that Ungo makes an aftermarket alarm with a tt & remote start for mt cars. it uses a relay to start the car (no need for it to be in gear). the tt begins countdown then arms the car afterward but the doors lock right away so no one can get in.

Wired incorrectly.. Either the ebrake line or you sourced power from switched ignition rather then +12V.
