Bay Area Evo Shops?

Now FFTEC has closed to the public who can you recommend for clutch installations, engine builds, or any other major work?

Can you vouch for Evo work that you have had done recently at SpeedElement?
If I call to set up maintenance who should I ask for?

I would recommend either RBMS or RS West. I have a friend at RS West currently getting his engine rebuilt and another one used RBMS for an engine rebuild.

I wish you were still here razorlab, can't even fine a good place to get my car tune. You pretty much have to work on your own car and build your own engine when come down to own this type of car. California make it hard far good shop to be around, because not everyone want to modified their car anymore.

Bay Area Service Update:
Speed Element (San Jose) just replaced my clutch and they did a good job. They got me In and out in a day in what is a busy shop. Brian was very helpful in setting up the service appointment for a time that worked for me. I provided the ACT XTSS clutch, flywheel and bolts, they provided main seal, fluids and labor. Good service at a decent rate from a group of guys who obviously love what they do. They also take the time to follow up with you to make sure you are happy with their work. What more do you need?

I've had hit or miss results from Works over the years. Faruk and another mechanic there left to start DevSpeed out behind turn 10. Very small shop, very busy with projects, good work but painfully slow.

Any luck? I'm looking for someone to tune a 2.2 stroker in the Bay or LA areas. I'm around San Luis Obispo so i can travel either way.
