Invitation to all

Well I just got back from running the Nevada Open Road Challenge, and I want to start recruiting for the Silverstate Classic(same race different time of the year)
Fastest Road Race In The WORLD... same race the jun 350z crashed at last year

Event info:
When: September 16-19, 2004
Where: Las Vegas/Ely Nevada
90 miles of ope highway to attack with your EVO...

like I said I just got back, and I would like to get a team together of only EVOs... We need 10 for a team anyways here is the Website
Silver State Classic Challenge

anybody interested please email me nonmature@hotmail.com

Trying to get some real imports up there and represent us... the race is dominated shearly by the number of Vipers, corvettes, and porsches... We need to at least be there and give it or best...

-non

if anyone is interested I averaged 128.14 and my top speed was 140... but there is a long story to go with it.... haha had a blast now we all need to get together and do it...

Sounds like lots of fun. So about 42 minutes of hard driving for you to complete the run?

well first off I think the 125 class is about 43minutes 12 seconds dont quote me... as for the EVO holding up it did amazingly well... I broke down on the way up there... I snapped a vacuum T that was connected to the MAP sensor but I replaced that and all went well from, there... I thought it would be hard holding the speed at 6500 altitude but all went well... I had my boost set at 1.5 on my AVCR and was running close to 100 octane... Blew by a couple of Cobra's hehehe... I think I will be running the 135 or 140 class in september being as I dont think there will be a problem holding those speeds... Basicly the whole course is an all out throttle war... completely straight except for about 2 miles of S turns... therefore you have to average higher to build up a bank of time for that section... I would have run the 130 or 135 class but I could not get a roll bar in time... and there was a questions as too if we had enough fuel...(fuel cell will have to be added) I highly reccomend a valvetrain upgrade for anyone running the higher speeds... I was running a little below 6000 to hit 140 (i think) but just as an extra added safety level it shouldnt be that big of a deal at that level...

they also have a high noon shootout which I couldnt do being as I was trying to fix the vacuum T and couldnt find it... basicly its either a half mile of a mile long speed contest... half mile long drag strip YA...

also people come from all over to do this race different countries included so if you can make the drive I highly reccommend it...

Geez, you'd think only east coast people read the western forums or something. I would enter, but I have a Lancer. That would be like taking a riced out Civic up there, it's just not the right kind of event for a slow compact sedan.
