Ball mitsubishi in San Diego sucks
I bought my evolution at the spur of the moment. It took me probably 2 hours to finish the transaction, and when I left I was in for a shocker. First of all as soon as I got the car into my garage I looked for my owners manual, and it wasn't anywhere in the car. Second I looked for the window sticker to see if I had purchased any other options, but I didn't have it. I went back and they promptly ordered it, and I asked for the window sticker and they gave me some BS that they have to keep it and they would make me a copy.
My Dad (cop) saw the sales manager and when he talked to him asked why he never gave us a manual, and he told him he would take care of me. So he got so scared he ordered me floor mats (suppose to come stock) that weren't in the car. So my car never came with a manual or floor mats, and they never gave me a copy of the window sticker.
The biggest shocker is that I paid for an upgraded security system ($700), that they said was pre-installed. I never heard the alarm, and the remotes were so simple I thought they just wired the alarm to the keyless entry system. But I finally tested my alarm a month later and realize I don't have an alarm at all.

Seems like the dealership is about 50% responsible for this stupidity. The other 50% is on you for buying a car without doing the proper research first.

Yeah but they said they had already preinstalled an upgraded one. It was 700 dollars on top of the price of the car.

How many miles were on the car??? If there were miles on it you probably bought a car that the dealer had sold and could'nt get financed. It happens more than most people think. Either that or the dealer may have never done the pre-delivery inspection on the car. Might want to check that out. If they haven't you could be in for a surprise if fluid levels or shock stops have not been removed.
the car was definetly had the pdi. but the car was i beleive bought from another dealer because they could not sell it. we bought a bunch from a dealer in texas because they could not sell them. the cars that come directly to us all get a aftermarket alarm installed and low jack option, due to the area of the dealer... if you know what i mean. that one sounds like it just slipped through the system because it was possible a dealer trade or something like that. dealer trades do not go through service where the alarms are installed. i say its just a honest mistake. the customer was taking care and nothing was trying to hidden. come see the evo-m guy in parts (me)and i will hook you up with aftermaket performance parts just like all the other members.
The car had 50 miles when i bought it. What surprises me is the car had the sticker that it was fully inspected by a mitsubish official, and someone actually signed it.
how much did u pay for the car??? LOL as soon as i know that, ill probbaly know if you got screwed hardcore
BTW i work at a dealership
HAHAHA, if u bought the car at invoice, they got you...this is what usually happens to those people that demand invoice, they give them the invoice price but on a car that supposedly already has a "factory installed option" that doesnt really exist...or many times it could be the sunroof option, they will give you the invoice price, and say "this one has a sunroof so invoice+the sunroof option($900) when the invoice alreayd has the sunroof included in it, and sometimes they'll even tack on invoice+sunroof($900)+destination charge($595), in reality u pay about $1500 over invoice, in your case you probalby paid $700 over invoice...many dealerships will give you the price that you want on certain conditions...you play by their rules
my favorite examples of this are those mother ****ers that put ad prices in the newspaper and they put like EVO8 1 at this price at like $26,000(below invoice of course, now why would they do that) and in the small print it says "after factory, dealership, graduate, and loyalty rebates." and in case you do have all that stuff they will give u the rebates of course, but they'll just make you buy the car through in house financing and jack up the interest rates up like hell to make the money right back. and in case you have excellent credit and qualify for 0% APR they wont let you take the rebates, its all stated in the paper, REBATES EITHER/OR 0%, but people want both....ive had so many customers come in with another dealerships ad and be like "MATCH $26,000" and i want the 0% APR so $26,000 divided by 60 months, thats my payments...simple as that right??? hahahahahha some people crack me up...then i ask, what happened to tax title license and registratoin fees plus interest??? then i just send them home

pay cash for what? theyre still going to include the $700 "alarm"
if ur talking about the AD price issue, they'll just say the car is already sold, or that you cant get that price unless u finance
