So after doing a boost leak test i found the leak in the throttle body shaft seals. But after a little research i found these http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...roducts_id=415 and ordered them and hopefully this will fix her up.

If this doesn't fix it I would check everything on the ignition, primary & secondary...this includes power & grounds. Fuel systems can also cause misfires...sticking injectors, weak pump, restricted lines..

Hey guys, just bought myself an 06 MR last friday. So far I'm loving it.

I do have a couple problems though. First off is that sixth gear will not go in unless I use all my strength and the second problem is the all too common 4th and 5th gear grinds at high speeds. Im all stock and still under warranty. What do you guys think I should do?

Oh and BTW I'm in ogden. Maybe I can meet up with someone cause right now I'm pretty new to the Evo.

Congrats.

Take it to the dealer if it really is still under warranty. Tranny problems seem to be pretty common with the MRs.

You could meet up with me, haha, but all I could do is show you how to drive it

PS, EAST CANYON IS OPEN!!!

I take it you kind of say that sarcastically as if they're probably not gonna warranty the problem.....lol

Well no, you never know. I just added that word to say that it may not be... But I think the tranny issues in the MRs are covered more frequently thtan most other problems.

Oh ok, good to know. Im at 41k so I should be good. What do you think they will do? Just a rebuild or a replacement?

The cheapest thing they can do... And that isn't a lie. Probably a replacement though, I don't think rebuilds are that easy for them.
