Hey, are there any local shops that would sell an HKS filter? I need to replace the one on my HKS RS intake, and I rather support someone locally (especially someone EVO friendly) first. Thanks!

Where do you recommend I take it then. I haven't heard many good things about ken garff either, so I don't have many options here.

I would hit up Jason at Price Matched Parts, he'll get you the best possible price. You can either PM him or call him, his screen name is PMP and here is his sitehttp://www.pricematchedparts.com/

Honestly all the dealers suck, but you need warranty work, so wherever you can get it is good...

That reminds me Jason, can you get a K&N drop-in for the Porsche? And how much? I think mine may still be the factory one and may be getting dirty, I'll have to take a look at it sometime to be sure, but with how much other stuff was still factory I imagine it is as well.

I do have a couple problems though. First off is that sixth gear will not go in unless I use all my strength and the second problem is the all too common 4th and 5th gear grinds at high speeds. Im all stock and still under warranty. What do you guys think I should do?

Oh and BTW I'm in ogden. Maybe I can meet up with someone cause right now I'm pretty new to the Evo.
Hey congrats on the evo! Enjoy and welcome. As long as you are really still stock, you should be good on the warranty. Basically, I was told by an ***hole mitsu rep, that anything more than a drop in filter and cat-back exhaust will void the warranty. So as long as you DON'T have a boost controller and all those other goodies, I'm sure you'll have the crappy dealer grade work warranty your trans! I don't live up there but I am up there quite often, maybe we can get together sometime and drool all over each other cars.

You're right, unfortunately it's warranty work so there's not many options. I just didn't have a good experience with them & wouldn't recommend them to anybody. If you've got an "in" with them & their techs are competent then you'll be fine.
