I'm pretty sure the torque wrench was junk, or close to it... I'm sure the spring was pretty worn out.

The jack we sold, and the jackstands I think went with the car.

I have breaker bar, electric gun, lugs, push pin, and the right pliers. Really its the jack, the stands, and the torque wrench I need. I even have my awesome children's gloves.

No sir. Not only has SCCA not refunded my fee from last time, but I have 650 dollars of car debt thanks to the coolant bottle and the brake pads... I don't want to spend another 125.

I'll probably only do the SCCA events this year, since they're cheaper when I instruct.

Congrats on finding your niche with the lap battle. I think it is better suited for your goals and you will have more success with it. I think it's a good idea since street cars can compete, so the barriers to entry are fewer (or less costly). As a side note, i never really had anything against you personnally, but just the whole STC and how that all went down. Nick is a good guy to have backing from and I hope your relationship with him is mutually beneficial. GL.

3. DE (least fun, but more fun than anything on the street - or in a back alley... )

True, if you won. But I know at least 3-4 of those guys will be way faster than me. And I'm pretty sure the AWD class will ALL be faster than me. Except maybe the Legacy GT, IF it is still stock. That's assuming good drivers, of course.

True, and I agree wholy with Erich on his support for lap battle, not having to put a roll cage in the car would've meant I'd be doing this with the Evo.

As for time attacks being more fun, I agree... In NASA format or maybe an even more detailed format, otherwise it ends up basically being a DE with timing (for me right now). But to add too much more formatting ends up turning it into another STC. Don't get me wrong, its a great idea, but without something even like SCCA pax numbers a fully stock/street C4 is not going to be all that competitive. Its just too insane to say that in order to win my time in a 996 C4 should have to beat a time in a 997 TT. Again, this assumes decently skilled driving.

Now if anyone has some Porsche Cup racing slicks lying around they wanna let me borrow...
