What exactly is wrong with yours? I might get one here soon and would have a stock one available its kinda beat up but hey it works. So if your patient and yours works for now then kick back for a lil while and see what kinda fundage I have available after I get rid of stock motor
I'd probably have to say my Sister > Me -now I wouldn't have said that years ago when she was a little brat but I can say now I'm proud of my lil sis and her little ones
P.S I WIN

well when my car is stopped at idle for like more then 2 minutes it overheats. i hear the fans kick on, and i neglected to look at the radiator when i purchased the car(the previous owner was backed into, i figured it was cosmetic damage only stupid me) so a bunch of the fins are all mangled, im going change that out and also buy a new thermostat and change that too. hopefully that'll solve my problems
You're not leaking coolant at all are you? I wouldn't think that some bent fins on the radiator would cause you to overheat when stopped at idle... Since the fins only matter when air is traveling through them anyway.
Maybe he has a stuck thermostat or something in that nature. I've got bent fins on mine from when I did a o2 housing and when I put a IX turbo on it but I don't have issues like that
are you ****ing kidding me
a radiator is the least of your problems or a water pump. You'll be alright
So see if anyone can help you out cuz I wouldn't have any problem stopping to help you out I'm just busy and a few hundred miles awaywater pump $137
thermostat is like $20
just search for the items

Now on a radiator don't worry about that right now I don't think it's your problem. Hey you can always use the search button here man and usually you find ppl that have ran into the same problem as you and see their fixes

Whatever it is, if it is only mainly happening at idle, it is definitely not your radiator. No coolant leak is good... I've been there, twice now with the Porsche... stupid resevoir bottle!
Anyway, water pump and messed up caps/thermostat are what I'd check next.

Over heating at idle usually is not a radiator. This might be obvious but have you bled the system properly. Air in the system will prevent flow at low RPM. I was having the same problem on my BMW. It has a different way of bleeding the system then I was used to so I didn't do it right at first. Once I read how to do it, solved the problem, runs great. Another explanation is the water pump. If it's going bad then at low rpm, it can't really pump any water. At higher RPM it still moves enough water to keep you cool. If you truly have no leaks, those are where I would start. Then thermostat. Then if all else fails, radiator. Have you had the system pressure tested? That's pretty simple to do and will quickly tell you if you have a leak like a busted overflow bottle (did that come in today Jake?). Good luck with it.
That most likely came in today, but they are open Tues - Friday and their earliest available appointment when I went in on Friday wasn't until Wednesday. Audi TT for one more day FTL.
Just kidding, it isn't that bad, I just miss my car
