I have a second home here in Salt Lake where I keep an Evo. I've decided to sell it. If anyone local wants it, please let me know.

See thread here.

I had about that much in mods (especially about that much in stereo) and 52k miles. I couldn't sell mine for 21... Traded it in for 18.5k

Good luck though, maybe the market is better now that it's been a year.

Exclusive Cars has a WW IX with ~6k miles on it for 29k... I'd much rather get that than an '03, unfortunately the bank won't do loans towards mods, so when you go for a private party loan you'll wind up having to find someone with a lot of extra money to buy your car.

Where you @ Im interested. Don't like the color but you have done everything to that car that I have yet to do on mine. Except the stereo don't care about that as much.

My car seems to take a few more cranks to get started than normal too now that its gotten so hot... I wonder if it has to do with how dry it is combined with the heat? Dunno if mine is as bad as your's though, it was hard to hear the video.

that would be a weird thing if this a common thing among evos. i have never experienced this in any other car.

Especially since I have nothing in common with an Evo

I honestly don't think mine is as serious as yours. Mine is like an extra crank or two... From the sound of it yours is like an extra full series of cranks (like the normal crank time, doubled).

Hell, my battery may be pretty old

Has it been running for awhile when you get it to the dealership?

I'm wondering if it is something that just happens after the car sits for a long time in the heat. Since it isn't sitting in long heat at the dealer... is that why it can't be duplicated?

i did drop it off and while i was a work they tried starting it and could not get it to do it again. they also scanned it and didnt pull any codes. is there anything else that they can do? i took it to checkers and had them run an electrical test and during the test, when the car was idling and a/c, radio and headlights on their hand held tester said "problem". the test doesnt pin point the exact problem. the guy at checkers said that the electrical system with a load on it is not performing right. i dont know... running out of ideas. i dont want to start tearing into it (still under the bumper to bumper warrenty).

Heat builds resistance.......less power to the starter. It's not all that uncommon for a vehicle to turn a few more times when hot. Chances are it's fine
