What are you rebuilding your motor then? and What are you or did you do to it.... Going for big power?
It's already built for a ton of power (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3095252). I'm just swapping out some weak pistons, one melted one, and changing the rod bearings while I'm at it. The 6G72 has a major problem with spinning rod bearings prematurely, so better safe than sorry.

I joined before you and I posted in here before you, but I only have 1/3 the posts you do in here

Seems like I am only informed of posts in here every few days instead of every post. I checked the subscription and i am supposed to recieve instant notification but it has not been that way recently. Maybe you have the same problem Jake.

Thanks! I know who you are now, I had left a comment on your CarDomain before. That's absolutely sick that you have a real IV.

Did you run that 14.00 up here at RMR? If so, that's really freaking impressive for a stock Evo.

Ya it was actually a 14.03 I just say it ran a 14 tho It was like summer of 2007 that is happened and was right after I rebuilt the motor in the spring and it was running really good... Now I just have trany issues Ya its lighter than the evo 8 and 9 so thats probably why its quicker lol I have just a catback exhaust and it still has a cat and 2 ressignator to quite it down lol it still pulls on Mostly Stock Evo 8 and 9 with like intake and Exhaust so its a plus I now want to do a TME Turbo or Fp Red and now fully Build the Motor so we can go for 450+ WHP but that will be later this year probably

That sounds like a fun plan.

Damn I was just looking at your Evo VIII and that sucker is impressive as well. I'd like to get side-by-side with that setup. GT35R 4G63 versus GT35R 6G72.

Next one is Feb 7th, no big wait for me. I'm sad because I can't at least finish up my car this weekend unless I magically find these bearings locally. Anybody know of any actual engine parts warehouses that would have Clevites?

Suggesting I was wrong is erroneous and incomplete, as was my initial response, I suppose. So, you are partly right, as I was also.
That is all I was saying is that they are, by law, required to look and see if you have a cat, whether you pass all the other tests or not, they still have to do the visual inspection in order to pass your emissions legally. And they usually will do every nit-picky part of emissions, Jordan can explain the difference in penalties between illegally passing emissions, and illegally passing safety.

Like you said, you were just incomplete in saying "You will pass emissions (OBDII scan), but not the full emissions test." And I think that's just where I misinterpreted, since you probably just meant emissions as the scan, and not the full emissions test.

This is what I was talking about, he will not pass emissions, since the visual inspection is a required part of the emissions test. But you likely just meant the scan when you said "emissions."
