I took the plates off of like 5 of my friends' cars when they'd be over at my house You should find the exact law (or note of there not being the law anymroe) for us Ryan and post it on here so I have proof for people who don't believe me.

South Coast can't do much better for me, and since taxes are higher and I wouldn't save on tax like I would trading in the car here, it ends up hurting more than one would here at the lower value.... Found a red STi at the Denver, CO CarMax location that has 11000 miles on it for less than all the others I've found so far. I think I'll go today and see what CarMax can do for my car... Wish me luck!
GL Jake Ya I heard if from my friends dads who is a county sheriff I'll take his word for it

You bet, go ahead & send me you're current ROM & I can set it up for you.

You're right, without the JDM MAP you will be limited to load based boost control. Not really a problem though as there are alot of people using it successfully.

(4) Enforcement by a state or local law enforcement officer of the requirement under Subsection (1) to attach a license plate to the front of a vehicle shall be only as a secondary action when the vehicle has been detained for a suspected violation by any person in the vehicle of Title 41, Motor Vehicles, other than the requirement under Subsection (1) to attach a license plate to the front of the vehicle, or for another offense.

So... what I get from this is that they can't give you a ticket for not having a front plate unless they pull you over for something under law Title 41 besides not having a front plate? I hate how confusing laws are to read.

Yeah, I believe it. I am just trying to find the exact code that states it. The website that has all the laws does not have that portion updated yet, so I am trying to search newspaper articles and other **** for it.

Per the way the law is written, it is a secondary offense, meaning that missing a front license plate is not something you can be pulled over and cited for alone. Now if you are pulled over for a primary offense (ie speeding), you can be cited for the plate. Seat belts are still like that in a few states.

Still looking....

Is that being 16 and having friends in the car for non-school/church functions a secondary offense? Or can they assume you are under 16.5 and pull you over just to find out? Same with not driving on freeways until you're 17?

Found this on the states site. Second question from the bottom it states that the front plate has to be there. http://publicsafety.utah.gov/safetyinspections/faq.html You can download the 09 safety inspection manual to.

The law is correct as it is stated in the Utah State Code. Front plate is still required, however, you have to be pulled over for a primary offense to be cited for it. Checked with the Lieutenant at UHP's SL office.

LMAO...I have no clue about that one. If someone looks too young, or I see a hot woman, I find another reason to pull them over anyway. Pulled quite a few dates by doing that Its not too hard to pull someone over for not coming to a complete 100% stop at a stop sign. Follow someone long enough in a cruiser and they will screw up.

Do it, but be professional about it. Its not right, but the cop could abuse their authority and hook you up for something if you are not professional toward them. Its not right, but it does happen. If that were to happen, it is something that you could contact their department and file a complaint over.

The very day i bought my evo x i was driving home and got pulled over for not making a complete stop at a stop sign, and did not get cited for not having a front plate (maybe i was just lucky) but it got me nervous thinking i was going to be a big target for the car i just got.

I sometimes wonder if it is the big spoiler more than anything else that draws attention on these cars. When i had my ix rs i never got pulled over. Perhaps being that it had no spoiler, but i sometimes feel like i have a big flag on the back of my car with a bullseye on it.

THAT IS GOOD NEWS IF IT IS NOT REQUIRED ANYMORE. I WORK AT THE HONDA DEALER ON RIVERDALE ROAD, AND IT USED TO GIVE ME SERIOUS PAIN TO SCREW THE BRACKETS ONTO THE FRONT OF THE BRAND NEW S2000'S AND CIVIC SI'S.
