Super dirty? What do you think my car looks like? I'm gonna get it washed on my way there or later tonight
Then I gotta empty out all the garbage in it...
I told her i'd clean it up for her but like i said she likes to ride with me and listen to music, plus shes takin me out to dinner out there afterwards. So it'd suck havin two cars with us.
I had that car looking so clean right before she bought from me now its blah, but dont mention anything, unless you wanna get me in trouble. lol

Oh and I have never washed my truck. Cleaned the back window once, but that was it. As soon as i go muddin, I am going to leave it mud brown till the rain washes her off, then more mud!!!! I do need to wash my bike in the morning though. Tires wont be in until monday, so if yall go for a drive, I dont know if I will go.
Hey Ryan, I have a law enforcement related question for you: If I see someone get pulled over who should not have been pulled over, what can I do? I can't pull in behind the cop and get out of the car and go say "No no, blah blah blah" and I can't stop next to them real fast and say anything either. Can I call the police department and tell them the car involved and where it was and ask to be a witness if they go to court? How can I be a witness for this poor innocent person?
Story goes like this: Stopped at a light waiting to turn left. I stopped there and was back near the normal "busy traffic" rear of the lane (you know, right where it usually gathers right before the light is green when traffic is busy). So yeah, I pulled up right about when the light should've been turning green for the people up front basically. Anyway, I sat there for probably 15-20 minutes (at least 15) and nothing happened, some people did U-turns and went the other way, and some people went over in the right lane to turn right (there is no straight lane here). I finally go to turn right (probably at around 20 min of the light being red) and notice a few brave cars turning left on the red light, but not before I see where almost ALL of the cars were stopping in the left lane: right off the sensor, they were all too far forward to trigger the sensor, including the original car that I saw turn left as I moved up a bit in the right lane. A few cars went right from the left lane, a few more went left. I noticed a cop behind me and was like "Oh great, maybe he'll go tell the people to pull back a bit or trip the sensor somehow." He lurched to the left (kinda to go in the middle of both lanes of cars, probably to go after one of the first few cars that turned left) then backed off and went back in the right lane. Then two more cars turned left and he turned on his lights and went between us and pulled over the second of those two cars, a black X5. I turned right and flipped a u-turn and saw that it was a nice looking older lady and felt really bad for her since it wasn't her fault. It looked like he was giving her a ticket too, I was so offended. It isn't her ****ing fault that the traffic light sensor that the city put in wasn't working properly because someone wasn't on it right. And BTW it worked fine after someone stopped at the appropriate place to trigger the sensor. And when traffic was backed up to the max, the left turn lane went ALL the way back to the stop light I had turned right from to get on that road, at least a block, maybe even two blocks.
Yeah, she ran a red light, because if she didn't she would've been there forever! That's rediculous, and I wanted to give her my card or something so that she could use me as a witness if she has to fight a ticket. Hopefully she explained and he only gave her a warning, but I was more pissed than had I gotten pulled over for something I did wrong. Glad my tax dollars go to paying a cop to pull some old lady over who didn't do anything wrong rather than pulling over the ***** mobile that cut me off on the freeway and forced me to slam on my brakes.. Good job SLPD. ERRRR SO PISSED OFF!!!

Jake: Hopefully he just let her off with a warning, but bottom line is she ran a red light. The only way she could have made that left hand turn at the light legally would be if A) green arrow, B) Green light, C) flashing reds, D) cop directing traffic. There are those cops out there that give the rest of us bad names. But from a legal aspect, just cuz someone else does something illegal doesnt mean that you can do it. Same for driving with the flow of traffic (not anymore) at say 75 on the interstate and having a cop that happens to pull you over rather than someone in the fast lane. He has every right to pull anyone over that is going as fast or faster than you, but you happen to be the one that he sees. If there are alot of people speeding, rolling through stop signs, etc etc, I will randomly pick one that I know I can reasonably get to and pull them over. I know that statistically when a cop has someone pulled over, those drivers that see it drive safer and more within the law for about the next 10 minutes. I almost never will cite any of those unless it is a severe infraction or their attitude is **** poor. If they want to argue, deny, and straight up be a d*ck/b*tch then they get hooked up, but its entirely their choice. Most cops are like that, but then there are the few that would cited their own mother for driving 1 mph over the limit. I aim more for safety than strictness. I will however, cite someone in a heartbeat for driving 10 in a 25, etc. Justification: hindering the flow of traffic.
I know I got a little off track, but she ran a red so there is not much you can do. She took the risk and happened to be the one the cop could get to prove his point to everyone else that was there. Sensor problem or not, it was still illegal. She should have had enough common sense to try to position the vehicle where the sensoe would pick it up, or at a BARE minimum, look for a cop before doing something stupid like run a red light. I know how irritating the sensors are down there. The light on 600 South coming down the viaduct from I-15 and trying to turn left (north) to go by the homeless shelter and to the Gateway will NOT pick up 2 bikes directly on it. We have to pull into the intersection and have a car pull up to the sensor to get a green arrow. Usually sit through one light and go on the 2nd. 2 weeks ago, sat there through 4 lights until someone pulled up behind us. I know that isnt the answer you were hoping for, but there is not much you can do.

Naw, but it is the answer I figured. I just figured maybe since "hindering traffic" is illegal, so would having the road blocked up past the next stop light. You could tell the people didn't know a sensor was there (which happens often, it seems).
I just thought that maybe since the cop came from back down that whole lane of traffic and decided to get in the right lane after stopping in the left lane that maybe he was coming to help (direct traffic) instead he chose to be a dick about it. Now I know though... I should stop at a light and not be on the sensor fully. They can't give me a ticket for what I "don't" know, can they? I wonder how far backed up I can get traffic?
She, and all the other drivers, couldn't have gotten on the sensor, they had all pulled too far forward (which, IMO, should've gotten them a ticket anyway, blocking a crosswalk is just plain stupid).
Just like the damn cop directing traffic that didn't let my friends and I (who were in a row of probably at least 6 cars down town) go until after about 5 or 6 lights.

LOL no you "shouldnt" be given a ticket for not being on the sensor in a turn lane, thus not getting a green light. I would be pissed to be behind yout though lol.
Directing traffic is a PITA, especially when its busy. Then you always have the the JA's that dont want to listen to you.
