Utah Evos
Tint inspection!
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a place to take my evo to get it inspected. I took it a while back to a place and they said everything checked out except my tint and that I'd have to get it removed, well my tint let through like 4 percent less light than the law says is needed and I really don't want to remove the tint just because it's barely too dark. Anywhere in SLC/Provo area would be fine!
Sorry chuck, those track pads are worth more than a gold star... If i still have them somewhere...I would recommend researching the different groups, find one that you like the sounds of and make sure they have beginner groups, then go out.
I love scca, for the price and the group, it's always great. Plus, like chuck said, often there are great instructors

Oh, and now you should have a pm...
Well the thing is, one place passed the tint, and another place failed the tint...I'm not sure what the % is because it was already on when I bought it and the 2 places gave me different answers. So is there anywhere that you guys prefer to take your cars to get them inspected?
If you already had it inspected and paid them for it but didn't pass, your in the system and as far as I know you will HAVE to fix it now. Unless your saying you went and just asked if that particular shop would pass you and they said no to the tint then your still good.
My gf had the same problem last year. She took it in for inspection and failed because of the tint. We took it to a lady that her dad knew, who did inspections. She told us that since her vehicle was already in the system that she had to fix it now or else she would have passed it no problem.
There might be a way around it, I'm not 100% sure what the whole process would be. Lets see what the others think or know about this.

I'll give you a call in the next day or so..
I recommend SCCA and Porsche Club. I had a ton of fun at both, and both are much cheaper than going during one of the MMP run open days. Myself and a bunch of friends are going to the Porsche day on April 25th. Should be a blast.
As far as things you need, not really anything. A helmet maybe (although the last 3 times I went to the track you could rent one for $25), and make sure your brake fluid is new and/or get higher temp fluid. Everything else should be good. Just don't tell your buddies in the service department you are going to a track day. What little warranty Mitsubishi offers is completely voided with any track use. You might be ok because you work there.

Have the 5qt jug so I should have enough for you.
. They were only 50 bucks more than 4WS but have been around A LOT longer working with ECUflash. Aaron(JohnBradley) did a fantastic job with the tune.

saves me a trip.
