Does anyone know of any open track days at MMSP? I know they have the standard open days but sometimes clubs (BMW, Porsche, etc. ) will get the track and you can go for cheaper than Larry H. charges (greedy bastard). He wants $275 for the day. You can race at Sebring (much more famous) for $225. I really need some track experience (I'm alot better driver than most normal people but I'll be the first to admit I need alot of race practice). Jake, any Porsche club days you know of yet?

Okay, but seriously, www.utahscca.com go to forums and go to road racing, there's a link there. The PDXes are THE best events for the best price. PCA is alright, but they're a little picky with non-Porsches entering (which is really the real reason I'm bitter towards them). Here's the link for Utah PCA. http://int.pca.org/
275 fyi, sounds like a rip compared to sebring, but I guarentee you get 300 times more driving time for your 275 than you do for your 225. If you want TONS of seat time, the Miller lapping days are the day to go, I think you get about twice what you do at PCAs and PDXes, at least the only one I went to was like that. Plus there are fewer people. There's an open house lapping day this weekend I believe, Bob (Kodiak) was telling me about it the other day)
Here's direct links:

So the SCCA 5th and 6th is the first day.
I would definitely recommend doing the 5th to any newbies... SCCA is probably the second best group to learn with in your own car, their instructors are awesome
NASA is the best, but they aren't coming back this year at all I don't think.
