Utah Evos
i had the same problem when i installed an intake. the fact of the matter is that intakes suck and unless you get your car tuned for one all they are going to do is make you loose power and make a lot of noise.
the sound you are hearing is compressor surge i think from your description. it is basically your throttle body not closing all the way with partial throttle let off causing your diverter valve to get confused and trying to close but not closing all the way. make sure you have the stock diverter valve on the right way because it is really bad when you have it on the wrong way... it shouldnt be that noticable with the diverter valve on the right way.

I'm new to utah but ran into a little problem. I just took off my greddy type rs bov and put on an intake. But the issue is when i shift it sounds like all the air that was sucked in is being forced back out the intake making a horrible fluttering sound. I reinstalled the stock bov but was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what is happening and/or how to solve the problem. Thanks
