Utah Evos
Lol, whoa jake game addict.
Never had a problem with mine, but it does have hdmi. It's the black one, I dont think the white one had hdmi.
Wes, I'll be there tuning tues through thurs, when do you wanna come? If you bring another evo to be tuned, i'll hook you up large style!
I'm also tuning subarus, so if any of you guys have friends that need that done, hit me up!

, and yours must be an Elite then, the one with 120 gb? Mine is one of the very first gen ones, hence the problems. If MS let me trade in the old one for like 100, I'd buy a new Elite and probably complain a whole lot less. The Pro (that's the new one) has HDMI too, and runs quieter and cooler and better etc etc. I'm sure with an Elite all but the 50 bucks a year for online play would disappear, I hear they're much better. And I don't know if I'll be able to get tuned Erich, with my job making me work only 20 hrs a week money has gotten a bit scarce.... Errr, I was so looking forward to it! Now how am I supposed to keep all these Evos in line.

I think John (twofour) wants a tune and anyone else that is on here that does I can vouch for a fickerFlash what day are you doing Jason's car?? I'd like to come down to see his car
...Looks like John has already responded so I'll bring him down too
No kidding,

lots of problems and my brother paid like $1100 for the ****ing thing
. Haven't had any issues with the replacement though (knock on wood). I was going to get tuned when Ficker came up but had to go have a tooth fixed, took all the money I had saved. Now I'm bummed.

Guess I'll have to keep pluggin' away at it one bit at a time on my own, whenever I get my tuning laptop back from my bro.
You are almost correct. And for some cars it depends on how the boost is controlled and monitored. There are 2 different types of pressure readings, absolute and gauge. If you car is set to boost 20 psi gauge, then that means at sea level you are boosting 34.7 absolute pressure. In SLC you would only boost 32.8 psi absolute while still boosting 20 psi gauge. Also the air density plays a part in the efficiency of the turbo. You are right that an NA car looses alot more power because the difference in power from 14.7 to 12.8 is a larger % change than 34.7 to 32.8 psi. However there is still a lose.
On a track comparison, the actual elevation of RMR is 4225' with a 4400' NHRA factor and 7000' to 11000' corrected factor (all of that info is from the RMR website). That to me says that the track would be the equivalent of running at a much higher elevation meaning the track itself is pretty crappy because they know that the times are going to be even slower than what the 4225' elevation suggests it should be.
Wes it would be interesting to see what you would run now with your new set up at LV then come back up and do another few runs at RMR to see how much of a difference it really is. I was just guessing when I said .4-.5 but that's what I have heard from others also.

'92 Talon FWD = 9.81 @ Fontana and 10.009 here at RMR
I'm not saying that things can't be done to make good power at elevation. First, if the car is tuned on absolute pressure then there really will be no boost change so the only losses will be the crappiness of the track. Also, even if the car is tuned on gauge pressure (which most cars are if they aren't still running a MAF) on very high boost cars, a 2 psi difference from sea level to here is not much of a power change (14.7 to 12.8 = 14% difference, 34.7 to 32.8 = 6% difference (20 psi gauge), 54.7 to 52.8 = 3% difference (40 psi gauge)).
I had one of the first ones too, gave me the RROD after having it a couple years and leaving it on pretty much 24/7
